The weakened version of H.B.1969 passed the State Senate yesterday and will go to a Conference Committee to work out the differences. It's crucial you contact the conferees immediately and ask them to restore H.B.1969 as originally introduced. GO TO LINK FOR PREWRITTEN MESSAGE.

At 11.30 on the night of Saturday February 10, eighty heavily armed police staged a commando-style raid on an Internet caf� and pool hall in Sydney's busiest cinema and entertainment district. It was one of the largest and most aggressive police raids ever carried out in the city.

A bill introduced by Rep. Kathy Stein, (D-Lexington) and Rep. Mary Lou Marzian (D-Louisville), would prohibit blind people from carrying guns under the state's concealed weapons law.

Two gun control organizations have stepped forward to bring different approaches to the gun control debate. Make no mistake about it, both of these groups have an agenda, and that is to circumvent the individual right to gun ownership embodied in the Second Amendment.

H.R.693 - To Ban Manufacture of "Old" Guns

Rep. Pascrell of New Jersey has introduced H.R.693 to ban the manufacture of all handguns that do not contain "smart gun" technology that allows only the owner to shoot the gun. This ban would include replica cowboy guns and black powder handguns. The penalty for violation would be 18 months in prison.

Rep. Becerra of California has introduced Bill H.R.423 in Congress, which would provide up to $500 per year in income tax credits for guns turned into police departments.
