Here the EIC (Entertainment Industries Council) gently "advises" that storylines need to depict lies, scare tactics and anti-gun propaganda.
------- "Consider depicting the reality that women are far more likely to be shot by husbands or lovers than by an intruder. Odds are that a gun in her home will be used against her rather than in her defense."

"Consider having characters successfully use alternatives to guns for self-defense, such as pepper spray or mace."
------- Too bad for the EIC that firearms are the most effective self-defense tool on the market today. But this group will try and push the public to believe this pablum anyway, despite the documented fact that guns save lives.

"Attorneys for The Rutherford Institute have filed suit in the Superior Court of New Jersey in Essex County on behalf of Hamadi Alston, a third-grader at Augusta Street School in Irvington, N.J., who was arrested for using an L-shaped piece of paper as a gun in a pretend game of 'Cops and Robbers.' ...The complaint makes charges of false arrest, malicious prosecution, violations of Hamadis free speech rights and the unconstitutional application of baseless zero tolerance policies."
"On March 15, 2001, 8-year-old Hamadi and his classmates were directed to take advantage of the schools 'free time' period, during which students are permitted to speak among themselves, read books and play board games that are available in the classroom. When Hamadi and a fellow student selected a book to read, they found an L-shaped piece of paper contained within it. Using the L-shaped item as a paper gun and exclaiming 'Pow, pow!' the boys began playing pretend games of 'Cops and Robbers' and 'Cowboys and Indians.' At no time did the boys threaten to harm each other or anyone else." |

"Individual American citizens in the WTC and the Pentagon are the ones who paid the bill for what is perceived as American arrogance and interference in the affairs of others. Many of them did not share the opinion of their government on foreign intervention. Many did not share the opinion of Left leaning think tanks as to how everyone should live. Many did not share the opinion of these NGOs who claim the right to determine the workings of foreign governments. They still paid the bill rung up by others. Our leaders still argue whether the 'Manhattan Massacre' was an act of war or merely criminal. It was war. What was criminal is that the people who died did not have the benefit of Jefferson's foreign policy." |

Authorities say seven people have been charged with firing a potato gun at the house of a former Lenoir County sheriff's detective.
Detectives say they believe the attack Sunday followed a series of pranks against off-duty sheriff's deputies the night before. Six officers reported that people kicked their front doors or made harassing phone calls to their homes.
Sheriff's department leaders say the harassment might have been in retaliation for an alcohol and drug checkpoint deputies set up Friday night outside a party at one suspect's house. |

"Weapons manufactured, imported, or configured in such a manner prior to the passage of the 1994 Act were 'grandfathered' as having a 'pre-ban' status. This had a two-pronged effect on the gun market. One was a steady and almost immediate inflation in prices of pre-ban weapons and high capacity magazines, their now limited availability causing an artificial stratification in price structure. Second, was the introduction of various 'post-ban' weapons designed to circumvent the particulars of the law, while providing a similar function or appearance to their pre-ban counterparts, albeit minus the full cosmetic effect or hefty price tag." |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by one enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. JOHN QUINCY ADAMS (1821) |
