"A person's home long ago ceased to be his castle. Eminent domain, asset forfeiture, and no-knock raids merely presaged the more egregious violations of our privacy rampant today. We are no longer expected or encouraged to stand tall and proud as free men and women. No. Today we are supposed to do only that which pleases those in power. The occasional bone tossed to us by the Supreme Court merely reinforces the fact and extent of their control. We cannot look to the justices for relief..." |

Regarding Massachusetts Chapter 180: "It's racist, classist, sexist, homophobic, and it discriminates against the elderly and disabled. When people actually sit down and read it, even ardent gun control advocates are shocked at what it legitimizes. A police chief can deny a license to a legally qualified person based on their gender, housing, sexual orientation - absolutely anything they want," said David Rostcheck. |

"This is not an issue that helps the Democratic Party, particularly in rural America," said Rep. Jim Turner (D-Texas). "Those of us who believe in the Second Amendment and the right of gun ownership have been pretty outspoken in telling our friends this is an issue they need to leave alone." In the six years since, Feely hasnt fired the gun in self-defense, but has become a foot soldier in a campaign to overturn the Ohio law that bars most citizens from carrying concealed weapons. "I refuse to be a victim," he said. |
