"At its heart progressive taxation states that the more you earn, the less your rights to your property (i.e., money). Instead of owning 70% of what you make, as your neighbor who makes less does, you only own 60%. Your neighbor now has more rights to his property than you do, and since time is money (a wage is based on the fact that an hour of work corresponds to a certain amount of money), he also has more right to his own life than you do, which in essence makes you indentured to him." ...

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by one enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. JOHN QUINCY ADAMS (1821)
