Yes, you heard me right. By checking the boxes titled: "Attend local gun-violence awareness events", and "Contact me if HCI holds an event in my area", YOU can be informed well enough in advance to help organize a little surprise for HCI. How would it look if every HCI event had more or just as many pro-gunners attending as gun-grabbers?
ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS REGISTER....AND THEN DO YOUR PART TO SEND THE NEXT LOCAL HCI EVENT DOWN THE TOILET!!! |

A Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) agent confessed, after resigning, to tipping-off a Kansas City developer about a federal criminal investigation, and pleaded guilty to making a false statement to FBI investigators. The Kansas City ATF office declined to comment on whether the conviction would affect any pending ATF court cases. The former agent was released on his own recognizance, pending trial. |

The Democrat-Gazette filed a motion to make the documents public.
"A man was killed in his bedroom by federal agents, and the press wants to know why they were there. The First Amendment guarantees this access, unless compelling interests require otherwise. Here, there is no on-going investigation of Mr. Wilson to protect, and we see no reason why the First Amendment should not prevail," said Attorney Jess Askew.
The judge's ruling on the issue is still pending. |

by Jeff Snyder for American Handgunner "I began an inquiry into whether rights, in order to be rights, must be absolute, or whether they may be subject to reasonable regulation in the interest of public safety. I chose for my investigation one of the most long-standing, common-sense exceptions to the right to keep and bear arms contained in the statute books and upheld by the courts: the prohibition against ownership or possession of firearms by convicted felons." |

"Our legislators, although they often posture about being tough on crime, too often miss the point of 'rational criminal' theory. Example: Because so much prison space has been squandered on lengthy mandatory minimums for drug offenders, burglars rarely go to prison. Then legislators wonder why burglary is increasing." |

"The American Rifleman reports that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) -- the guys who brought us Waco -- are using intimidation and threats to compile an illegal registry of gun owners. BATF thumbs its nose at federal court decisions and continues to harass legitimate gun dealers and purchasers as if they were criminals." |

From the Cincinnati Enquirer -
Ohio is headed for a showdown. State lawmakers intend to push a bill that would allow residents to obtain permits to carry concealed weapons. Recently, we invited members of the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence to debate members of the Kentucky Coalition to Carry Concealed.
Hmph! The anti-self-defense jerks, one of which is well known, drag out the same old, tired arguments. |

Dateline NBC "discovered" 35 gun-related deaths of youngsters throughout the US during the week following their broadcast of 'The Sopranos' (a show about gangsters). They say there is a direct correlation. QUESTION: Did they compare this week to other weeks throughout the year over many years? Did they find out if there was anything else going on that week? What kind of BOGUS "study" is this?

"In recent years a number of medical organizations have united in a crusade to convince doctors that they should advise patients to get rid of their guns, on grounds that guns cost more lives and cause more injuries than they save and prevent. But what if such advice entices patients to disarm, and they are subsequently raped, robbed, assaulted, or murdered? Could doctors prescribing civilian disarmament be sued for negligence?" |

We knew this was coming...
"A statewide crackdown on guns has inadvertently led to a surge in the sale of knives by Boston street vendors, according to police officials. The problem is so serious that Councilor Daniel F. Conley of Hyde Park will call today for a law prohibiting merchants from peddling the dangerous wares. Although a 1997 city law prohibits the sale of knives to minors, Conley plans to file an amendment today that would ban knife sales to anyone by street vendors." |
