... "CSGV loves to hammer on the 'gun owners as minority' theme, and to dismiss gun rights advocates who are black, or female, or homosexual etc., as not representing the 'genuine opinion of' whichever minority demographic they are a part of. National Gun Rights Examiner David Codrea has caught them in not one, but two recent, blatant examples of this unsavory behavior."
"The minority opinion, according to CSGV, can be safely disregarded, and the rights of those holding such opinions legitimately trampled. Whatever else one might say about CSGV, they cannot be accused of lack of respect for 'gun control's' long tradition of oppression of minorities." ... |

"Several days ago, the authorities of the town of Nelson in Georgia held a preliminary discussion of a draft law, which, if adopted, would order (not allow, but order) every family in the town to have at least one fire weapon. The draft law was unanimously okayed by all the town councils members. The final voting for this law is scheduled for April, but it can be said already now that with such sentiments of the towns authorities, the law will most likely be adopted."
"Nelsons population is only about 1,300 people. However, if every family even in such a small town arms itself, wont this be too many armed people in one place?" ... |

"Last year, I was looking to open a state-of-the-art gun range. The cops were on board. And why not? The Providence po-po need a world-class training facility (i.e., one that doesnt close in winter) to hone their firearms skills with simunitions, a 360-degree live fire shot house, separate cleaning and storage areas, classrooms, the works. And then Sandy Hook. The gun range project died on the spot. The post-Newtown push for civilian disarmament claimed another victim. Throughout the country, the Sandy Hook slaughters blowback is making us less safe, both as a society and individually. Check this tale from a commentator john B in Warwick, RI . . ." ... |

"There's something odd with a Sunday New York Times report on gun ownership in America. They claim the number of Americans owning guns are at its lowest since the 1970s. They attribute it to a reduction in violent crime, which contradicts the media narrative that we need more gun control, and the increased rates of Americans settling in urban areas. The problem is two years ago; the number of Americans owning guns was at 47 percent. Now, it's 35 percent. So, there was a twelve-point drop in two years, and a little over three months after Sandy Hook."

Some say a pistol affords you the ability to run a flashlight, open doors and hoist children to safety if need be. Rifle proponents say theres no replacement for 30 rounds of persuasion with some real knockdown power. Not to mention the ability to put accurate shots on target at spacious living room distances.
