Introduced in 1980, the 9x21mm IMI was a creation between the Franco Benvenuti agency of Italy and Israel Military Industries (IMI). Many countries, including Italy and most of the European Union, have banned the use of all military ammunition, such as the 9mm Parabellum. In order to circumvent gun control measures, the collaborative effort to create a substitute ammunition was seen as a good resolution and would allow civilians to own and use a powerful cartridge without fear of repercussions. |

The .50 Action Express cartridge is, without a doubt, one of the worlds most powerful pistol cartridges. It features a .500-inch bullet diameter (33mm) in a 1.285-inch straight-walled case that has a rebated rim. The overall length of the standard .50 AE round measures 1.610 inches, and the ammo is powered with a large pistol primer. According to the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute (SAAMI), the maximum pressure of .50 AE ammo should not exceed 36,000 pounds per square inch (psi).

The so-called mainstream media holds a distinctly anti-gun bias when it comes to reporting about violent crime and defensive uses of guns. Its been that way for decades, and only seems to be getting worse. Phrases like gun crime have edged out the more-accurate violent crime while mass shootings have replaced mass murders. Both semantic changes are intended to place more blame on guns and less on criminalsa popular anti-gun ruse to change the minds of those who arent familiar with the issue.

The Colt Pocket Automatic Pistolnow normally referred to as the Model 1903was a big success for the company. It is a small, flat and relatively lightweight pistol that can be easily hidden in the pocket of a coat. But by 1908, there was a desirejust as todayto cram more power into a pocket-size pistol. |

Let the gun control zealots defend this. Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascn had to be shamed into doing his job to protect his community from a would-be school murderer. DA Gascn refused to bring charges against a teen who allegedly posted threats against a school on social media and was allegedly caught carrying stolen guns. His team of lawyers claimed there wasnt enough information of the criminal threat.

Most Glock owners are perfectly happy with the factory sightsthe Glock box rear and white dot front (sometimes referred to as "bucket-and-ball")but some folks like to improve their guns with a variety of aftermarket sights. The reason vary, from wanting a more conventional 3-dot system to adding night sights or fiber optics. Whatever the reason, sight makers have capitalized on all the demand for aftermarket Glock sights. Here are a few we thinks are worth a look. Note: These sights are for full-size Glock frames, such as the G17 and G19.

Unlike the American woodcocks skyrocketing flight or the mating dance of sandhill cranes, wild turkeys communicate through different vocalizations during the breeding season. The thrill of hearing gobbling is a call that many hunters cannot resist. This season, Kentucky hunters can expect to hear plenty of excitable gobblers in the field. This should make for especially good turkey hunting for 2023. |

On Monday, March 20, a three-judge panel from the Second Circuit Court of Appeals heard five cases challenging New York States Concealed Carry Improvement Act (CCIA). The CCIA was passed shortly after the landmark Supreme Court opinion in New York State Pistol Rifle Association v. Bruen. The Bruen case knocked down the Empire States Sullivan-era concealed carry law. Before the law was knocked down, gun owners would have to show proper cause before New York would grant them a concealed carry permit. The court ruled that Americans had a Constitutional right to carry a firearm outside the home, and all states had to become shall issue. |

A 100-round test is a start, but ammunition reliability is something that should always be monitored. Manufacturers can make slight changes with loads that your pistol might not like. Is ammunition the most common reason for stoppages? If youve received quality defensive-firearm training, youve learned to deal with stoppages through immediate action. As soon as you realize your gun is not working, you immediately begin trying to make it work again, as fast as possible. |
