"That is not your job. That is improper. It is putting your lives in danger, patrons lives in danger. That's not your job. It is the job of Walgreens to make sure they hire proper security and they protect their patrons," Stewart said.

Walgreens is supposed to have a no chase policy when it comes to shoplifters.

A grand jury decided to not indict the employee who shot Ferguson.

Please contact your senator and urge them to SUPPORT HF 2586, HF 2556, and HF 2464, by using the Take Action button below!

Despite clear protections of private militias and gun training in the Second Amendment, Democrats are proposing new legislation that could ban everything from shooting ranges to private armed security. The "Preventing Private Paramilitary Activity Act of 2024," recently filed by Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) and Sen. Ed Markey (D-MD), takes aim at groups who publicly patrol, drill, or engage in techniques capable of causing bodily injury or death, as well as groups who assume the functions of a law enforcement officer, peace officer, or public official, whether or not acting under color of law.

NSSF, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, celebrates Kentucky House Bill 357, informally called the Second Amendment Privacy Act, passing into law. This NSSF-supported law protects the privacy and sensitive financial information of people purchasing firearms and ammunition in Kentucky. The law was passed with an overwhelming majority by the Commonwealth's General Assembly.

The law prohibits financial institutions from requiring the use of a firearm code, also known as a Merchant Category Code (MCC), from being assigned to designate firearm and ammunition purchases at retail when using a credit card.

Both sides of the political process were stymied last week after a ruling by an Obama-appointed judge ruled illegal immigrants have Second Amendment rights.

Yes, you read that right. A liberal judge in the staunch anti-gun state of Illinois and the very anti-gun city of Chicago ruled that illegal immigrants have the Second Amendment right of an American citizen under the U.S. Constitution to have firearms.

In a ruling on the case of Heriberto Carbajal-Flores, who had been caught with a weapon in Chicago, federal Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman said a federal ban on illegal immigrants owning firearms is unconstitutional. The judge moved to dismiss charges against Carbajal-Flores in the case.

Tulsi Gabbard, a former U.S. Representative from Hawaii and a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve, recently discussed her views on the Second Amendment in a candid conversation on the Triggered podcast with Donald Trump Jr.

Gabbard, known for her progressive stances, shared how her upbringing in Hawaii, with its strict gun laws, initially influenced her perspective on firearms.

Nothing better illustrates the lefts bizarre, sinister, and downright lawless attitude than two back-to-back gun control decisions from two leftist courts in two infamously blue states, Illinois and Hawaii. Within a single month, progressive judges decided that law-abiding Americans do not have the right to freely bear arms, but non-citizens living here illegally do. Yes, you read that correctly.

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers signed a bill Tuesday allowing tactical emergency medical services (TEMS) professionals to carry a firearm in otherwise prohibited areas, such as fish hatcheries and wildlife refuges.

The professionals must be on active duty, according to the language in the newly signed Senate Bill 829, now 2023 Wisconsin Act 218.

Local leaders, community members, and representatives from the Appleton Fire Department joined Evers at a bill signing ceremony in Appleton.

According to Evers, since 2012, the Appleton community has been a leader in working to integrate TEMS into community emergency response services, and the local success of their program helped inspire the measures for Act 218.

Governor Glenn Youngkin Tuesday announced he was taking final action on 67 pieces of legislation, signing 31 bills into law, offering amendments to 6, and vetoing 30.

I swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of Virginia, and that absolutely includes protecting the right of law-abiding Virginians to keep and bear arms, said Governor Glenn Youngkin. I am pleased to sign four public safety bills which are commonsense reforms with significant bipartisan support from the General Assembly, and offer recommendations to several bills which, if adopted, will make it harder for criminals to use guns in the commission of a violent act.

Best known for its compact pocket pistols, Bersa Firearms is increasingly American and is now making 1911s in Georgia.

While at the recent IWA Outdoor Classic Show in Germany, we ran into Bersa at the American pavilion of all places. That's because, while the parent company started in Argentina in 1958 and still makes lots of guns there, Bersa USA operates out of a new state-of-the-art facility in Kennesaw, Georgia.

And they are making John Browning's classic single-action Government Issue .45 ACP.

A proposal to ban the purchase, sale and production of untraceable gun parts passed the Pennsylvania state House of Representatives on Wednesday, with Democrats in the House using their majority to propel gun control after years of stagnation in a divided state government.

The legislation passed the House 104-97, with almost all Democrats and three Republicans voting in favor of it.

The bill will likely face a cold reception in the GOP-controlled state Senate, which has not taken up gun control measures advanced by the House this session.

Gov. Jay Inslee has signed a bill into law that prohibits having a weapon at various locations that include zoos, libraries and public transit facilities.

However, the prohibitions under Senate Bill 5444 do not apply to those who have a valid concealed carry permit.

At the bills Wednesday signing, Inslee said that the bill provides common sense safeguards against gun violence" at public locations where children are often present.

Carrying weapons was already illegal at the following locations: restricted access areas of a jail or law enforcement facility, courtrooms, the restricted access areas of a public health facility, bars and restricted access areas of commercial service airports

In February, the artist and ink-maker Thomas Little loaded up his van and traveled around North Carolina to paint 20 delicate, lonely vignettes of American landscapes each one representing a city in his home state that experienced at least one mass shooting in 2023.

On their subject matter alone, the paintings of water towers, street signs and brick facades are a subtle but harrowing visual record of violence in the US, portrayed through a sense of absence and loss. But the unexpected source of Littles colors make his scenes even more potent: The pigments are made from the chemical compounds of guns, taken out of circulation and dissolved in Littles workshop.

New York City plans to test weapons detection technology in the subway system in response to an increase in transit crimes, the mayor announced Thursday.

The announcement comes after the city surged 1,000 officers and the state deployed National Guardsmen into the subway system in recent weeks as part of security measures after several high-profile crimes.

"We are taking the next step forward in our ongoing efforts to make our subways even safer and ensure New Yorkers feel safer in the transit system," Mayor Eric Adams said during a press briefing on Thursday.

Girsan and its primary U.S. importer EAA have gone a long way to become a household name in the U.S. in recent years and they aren't afraid of leaning into the colors.

We made sure to stop by the Girsan booth at the recent IWA Outdoor Classic Show in Germany when we were in town and were not disappointed in the offerings on display. Sure, they make catalogs full of plain Jane matte black guns with plastic grips, but you didn't come here for those plodding reliables. You want the stuff with some fireworks to it.

At the heart of the operation was Gerardo Rafael Perez Jr. from Laredo, who, according to a superseding indictment filed this month, orchestrated the acquisition of over 100 firearms with the aim of smuggling them into Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

Democrats at the Maine State House have proposed new gun legislation that looks to increase the ability of law enforcement to take firearms away from someone who poses a significant danger of causing severe harm to others.

The bill, sponsored by House Speaker Rachel Talbot Ross, would allow family members to petition a judge to temporarily remove weapons from a loved one who falls under those criteria.

An Illinois lawsuit has led Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser and attorneys general from 11 other states and the District of Columbia to notify gunmaker Glock to preserve 37 years of documentation regarding its handguns.

Earlier this month, the city of Chicago filed a lawsuit against Glock alleging the company failed to change the design of a pistol. Chicago claims Glock knew a do-it-yourself switch could make the handguns a machine gun and resulted in a proliferation of illegal machine guns.

In the same week that Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin vetoed 30 measures that would have greatly curtailed the rights of lawful Virginians, all the way across the country a much different scenario was unfolding.

On March 27, Democrat Washington Gov. Jay Inslee signed a handful of anti-gun measures that will only hurt lawful citizens and not affect violent criminals.

Perhaps the worst measure, HB 2118, places a number of expensive, punitive requirements on Washington firearms retailers and will likely run many of them out of business.

Marianne Goodland of the Colorado Springs Gazettes political blog reports on a surprising twist in the debate over legislation that would allow for additional areas where firearms including concealed weapons are banned across the state. Although the bills original scope was scaled back in amendments, a location added to the list of gun-free zones could result in a big change in a controversial policy in place for many years: a loophole in the law that allows lawmakers to carry concealed guns inside the Colorado Capitol even though the public is required to disarm before entering the building
