"The shooting took place at Santana High School in Santee, California, northeast of San Diego. CNN affiliate KGTV is reporting that five to six people were injured. Authorities say one suspect, apparently a student, is in custody." ~~~~~ We wonder what would have happend if this student knew that teachers and school authorities were able to defend themselves and the students with concealed weapons? |

Gun buyers & sellers hit the 'Crossroads of the West Gun Show' on Sunday more confused than worried about new legislation that will "close the gun show loophole" March 31.
"There is a little panic-buying going on," said show director Jeff Templeton. "People are resistant to change & not everyone is clear on how this law is going to affect them." |

"Once the candidates respond to the survey, GOA will report their answers to you, so you and I can hold them accountable. Even if a candidate fails to respond to the survey, we'll let you know. Experience has taught us that when candidates refuse to answer the survey and publicly state their positions on issues related to the Second Amendment, those candidates typically have a hidden anti-gun agenda."

"I am disappointed by President Bush's statement on this shooting this afternoon. Yes, it is important to teach our children morals and values, but the most immediate way to make sure these shootings don't happen in the first place is to prevent children from having access to guns. I challenge President Bush to support the following:" -Sarah Brady (and she goes on to list HCI's gun control agenda...) |

"The school shooting that left two dead and 13 injured Monday in suburban San Diego came as the number of fatal school shootings at the nations schools is actually dropping and as police departments nationwide train to respond to shootings in a more confrontational way." ~~~~~ Interesting... the same results could be had if the teachers and administrators were trained... could it be they don't want anyone but the police to have guns? nah... |

1000 firearm related deaths in 3 years and 75% are suicides. They want us to believe that anything that delays someone could prevent the suicide. Waiting periods and built in locks for all guns is recommended, at the very least.
Reducing firearm suicides does not reduce overall suicides. I suppose we should feel better when someone jumps off a building...unless he lands on someone. |
