In 2010, Advanced Armament Corporation developed the .300 AAC Blackout in conjunction with Remington Defense, with the intention of offering a .30 caliber cartridge with better performance than the 5.56mm ammunition currently in use. Replacing the 5.56 NATO cartridge is an idea that has been around since its introduction, but the urgency rose with the global War on Terror, which rapidly placed many of our troops in harm's way across many different situations and unfamiliar geography.

One thing that can often cause a lot of heated comments and accusations of being a Fudd is a lack of understanding about what someone is trying to achieve or what is possible to achieve. It can be easy for us, without everyday lives, to second-guess what is going on in a state capital or in Washington, D.C. |

Writing at The Federalist, Cody J. Wisniewski has just reinforced arguments put forth earlier by gun rights organizationsto the everlasting chagrin of gun prohibitioniststhat the invasion of Ukraine is a clear justification for the right to keep and bear arms by private citizens, especially the Second Amendments importance to U.S. sovereignty.

Heckler & Koch specifically designed its HK416 to meet the demands of Americas elite armed forces. Development began sometime in the 1990s, and in 2004, it replaced the M4s carried by Delta Force. The firearms most famous appearance to date was likely 2011 with SEAL Team 6, when Osama bin Ladens compound was successfully raided. Other nations have adopted the gunor one of its many variationsfor use by select members of their armed forces. It's more compact than the M4 its largely based on, while providing reduced component wear, improved reliability, enviable accuracy and the ability to deliver fully automatic fire. |

Gun owners have made undeniable progress in shifting public opinion away from bans on the firearms gun-control advocates hate. Consider, in 1959, Gallup asked the public, Do you think there should or should not be a law that would ban the possession of pistols and revolvers, except by the police and other authorized persons? Sixty percent of respondents answered, Yes, there should be. Gallup has continued to ask a similar question ever since. In 2021, with 42 states that recognize the right to carry a handgun outside the home for self-defense (21 without obtaining prior government permission), only 19% of Americans supported a total civilian handgun ban. |

President Joe Bidens nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to replace retiring Justice Stephen Breyer gives him his first chance to put a lasting stamp on the U.S. Supreme Court. Judge Jackson, who was only recently elevated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, has authored just two opinions on the merits, both in the past month. Her judicial record tells us truly little about her views on the Second Amendment or about the firearm industry. |

In defending home and hearth from varmints and pests (both two and four-legged), a handgun is nice, but a good semi-automatic rifle is a gamechanger. The ability to put multiple rounds on target accurately and in short order, at a distance, can often mean the difference between life and death (for you or your livestock) or whether there is dinner on the table. |

If you do any kind of work on your guns, you need an appropriate place to do it. The bench outlined here has a very smooth top that makes it easy to pick up and manipulate small pieces. A Columbia woodworking vise on one end and a bench vise on the opposite provide a means of holding a variety of parts and guns. Slots in one end of the bench top hold cleaning rods for easy access, and a sturdy shelf on the bottom holds large items. |

Big banks are showing they love two things: Communist cash and discriminating against Constitutionally-protected industries. Multinational corporate banks including JP Morgan Chase and Citigroup told the Biden administration to back off sanctioning Russia, according to a Bloomberg report. The crippling measure would have booted Russia from the SWIFT financial messaging system, a global payments system used by 11,000 financial institutions in over 200 countries. |
