For some very good reasons, you decided you would be safer if you had a firearm. Youd normally go take a firearms class and go to the shooting range to learn how to use your gun. That is hard to do during this epidemic.

Here is a video series we released to help you. Give it a watch.. until we can take you to the range.

Gun stores and firearms customers are suing Gov. Charlie Baker over his shutdown of firearms sales amid the coronavirus pandemic, leaving no recourse for locals to buy a gun and potentially harming small businesses.

The lawsuit filed Thursday in the federal court in Boston also names state public health and criminal justice officials and local chiefs of police for enforcing the order on April 2, denying customers pickup of guns they purchased days earlier.

Firearms are no different. Suppliers and retailers of firearms and ammunition are essential services, according to an executive order from Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey.

Vincent Vasquez, owner of C2 Tactical an indoor shooting range specializing in firearms and training courses said he has seen an uptick in sales for a variety of items like firearms and ammunition, as well as sign-ups for training courses.

Last Saturday, two men got into an altercation over one of them coughing in a Johnstown, PA convenience store parking lot without covering his mouth. It started when one man told another to cover his mouth when he coughed as he was walking across the parking lot.

Security video shows the cough-er stopping at the door of the store, looking back at the complainer in his car and having words with him. He then walks towards the complainers car who then gets out of his car. After more apparent words (no audio), he gets back into his car and hits the cough-er with his vehicle.

Liberal actress Alyssa Milano posted a video on social media begging Americans to stop buying guns over concerns about the coronavirus pandemic.

"Americans bought over 2 million firearms in March of 2020, over a million more than this time last year. We have to keep each other safe by social distancing and washing our hands and not bringing dangerous firearms into our homes," Milano tweeted.

This time the Board will be considering a resolution to evaluate the public health threat of panic buying firearms and for county health officials to warn of the dangers associated with firearm ownership. This at a time when Americans are obtaining the means to defend themselves and their loved ones at a record pace.

As the old saying goes, never let a crisis go to waste, and thats exactly how this resolution begins.

In 2016, Wilson Combat changed the game when it released the EDC X9 9mm. That pistol, which combines the best features of the 1911 and more modern handguns, was an immediate success. Wilsons next evolution on the X-Frame was the full-size X9L, which couples the features of the X9 but with a five-inch barrel.

This year the company released the latest model in the series: the subcompact EDC X9S. The X9S has many of the design hallmarks that have made the X9 popular but in a smaller format. This handgun has a similar footprint to many of todays most popular carry guns but with some highly upgraded features.

A hunting and firearms store in Maple Ridge has seen a 200 per cent jump in gun sales over the past couple of weeks.

A large portion of the increase in sales could be due to the COVID-19 crisis, said Matt Mendel, co-owner of Wanstalls, that sells firearms and hunting supplies right across the country.

But, there could be other factors contributing to the increase as well, he said.

I think its a perfect storm of scenarios going on right now, noted Mendel, whose business is only doing online sales and curbside pickup, where orders will be brought out of the store for local customers.

Gun stores across America have long lines of customers waiting to get inside. Dicks Sporting Goods does not.

A while back, CEO Ed Stack made the strategic move of removing Americas favorite rifle and other hot-selling modern sporting rifles from Dicks shelves. More recently, he ordered an end to all firearm sales at many of his stores.

And on top of all that, Mr. Stack hired a lobbyist to press Congress to pass more gun control laws.

Its not just would-be authoritarian governors and local officials here in the U.S. that are using the COVID-19 crisis to attack the natural right to armed self-defense. Aspiring tyrants the world over are using the ongoing pandemic as an excuse to advance their preexisting gun control agendas. In at least three Australian states, government officials have used the emergency to close gun stores, leaving residents unable to acquire firearms and ammunition.

The order, announced at a press conference on Monday, requires residents to limit non-work travel unless venturing out to exercise, visit family, or obtain essential goods and services.

On April 2, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation announced that it had received 25,468 background checks for gun sales in the previous week a 227% increase from the same time frame in 2019.

Its indicative of a trend as old as the United States in times of crisis, be it financial, political, health-related or spurred by gun violence itself Americans buy guns.

A coalition of Second Amendment groups has filed a federal lawsuit against Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker over gun control issues during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, ironically just days before the 245th anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord that ignited the American Revolution.

This time around, instead of British Regulars marching to confiscate arms and munitions from the Colonial militia, its the Baker administration eliminating all lawful channels of access to constitutionally protected arms and ammunition by mandating the closure of all businesses that sell firearms and ammunition to the consumer public, the lawsuit says.

The recent letter titled, Instead of complaining about imaginary rights, help us all get through the crisis, makes me sick to my stomach. As a military veteran who took an oath to uphold the constitution, I am confused by this readers assertion that our rights are imaginary. They are actually inalienable and written very clearly in the constitution, therefore, far from imaginary. I understand the readers concern for the safety of the people and himself, but we must be careful as a society not to give up these rights at times like this. After 9/11 we all gave up a lot of our privacy rights and we are seeing the abuses of that with the FISA court issues.

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued Executive Order 2020-42 to order all nonessential businesses and activities to cease. Though her order exempts critical infrastructure, she purposefully references an outdated list of such industries rather than the most current federal guidelines that designate firearm and ammunition retailers as critical. This deliberate action shuts down gun stores in order to deny citizens access to their Second Amendment rights.
