when police commit an act of criminal violence against an innocent citizen. Instead, it's always a "struggle," as if the victim were somehow involved in mutual combat.
Witness this sickening incident from Ft. Worth, which is described as a "violent traffic stop" in the headline, and a "struggle" in the body of this account from WFAA-TV:
"A deaf man ended up with a broken nose after he found himself in a struggle with a Fort Worth police officer. While the incident happened over one year ago, the video that captured it was just released.
It began with Christopher Ferrell, 43, being pulled over in his maroon sedan for speeding. Ferrell reached for his identification to inform the officer of his disability. |

"It is not a draft. It is a universal service." Those are the words of Rahm Emanual. Here's a video that includes an interview with Rahm Emanuel, a citizen of Israel, telling the interviewer that every American child needs to attend a mandatory 3-month brainwashing boot club to be instructed in worshiping the state.

The family of a man who was stabbed to death by teenage thugs after he asked them to keep the noise down have been denied compensation - because he tried to fight off his killers. Kevin Johnson, 22, was brutally murdered by the gang who invited him to 'meet Mr Stanley' during a confrontation outside his home moments before plunging a blade into his chest, arm and back. The young father collapsed a few feet from his front door whilst the trio - aged 19, 16 and 17 - ran off in 'triumphant mood' before stabbing their second victim a short distance away.
But after applying for a maximum 11,000 in compensation Mr Johnson's family have been told that they do not meet the criteria as he tried to fight off the gang who took his life. |

Help detect terrorism in Kansas City. James in Missouri sent me this link to this website: PrepareMetro KC.
You can help detect and prevent terrorism.
Terrorist operations begin with extensive planning. You can help prevent and detect terrorism and other types of crime by watching out for suspicious activities and reporting them to the proper authorities. Watch for the Seven Signs of Terrorism:
* Surveillance * Seeking Information * Testing Security * Acquiring Supplies * Suspicious Behavior * Trial Runs * Getting into Position
Watch the video - they act out the seven signs so you can understand what a terrorist looks like. At 3:55 of the video, a jogger runs by a man on a park bench writing in his notepad. Since spending time alone to write in a notepad is a highly suspicious, kooky, and subversive activity, the jogger, disturbed by the notebook, pulls over to grab her cell phone and call the police. |

For almost a week, Americans have been told by liberal bloggers, Keith Olbermann, Rick Sanchez, and David Shuster that conservative talkers are lying about the Obama administration's plans to enact stricter gun laws, and that this is what caused Richard Poplawski to kill three police officers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, last Saturday.
You know who's been telling the American people Obama wants to take away guns? Members of his own administration, that's who.
Such was reported Wednesday evening by CNN's Bill Schneider in a piece addressing a new poll that found only 39 percent of Americans support stricter gun laws compared to 46 percent who want no change to current legislation (video and transcript below)

During the 7:00 p.m. hour of Saturdays CNN Newsroom, anchor Don Lemon pushed the view that Barack Obama should try to emulate European gun laws as a way of reducing gun violence in America as he discussed the subject with four guests. During an interview with former FBI agent Gregg McCrary, who expressed support for an assault weapons ban, Lemon suggested Obama learn from the Europeans: "The one person who can probably weigh on this and may have the most influence is the President. Since he's over there in Europe now, and they're, you know, they're not perfect, but it seems that their gun laws seem to be at least working in a way that ours are not." Below are transcripts of relevant portions from Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5: |

In May of 2007, the Brady Center, research arm of the Brady Campaign, published a report entitled No Gun Left Behind: The Gun Lobbys Campaign to Push Guns Into Colleges and Schools. Though nearly two years have passed, numerous inaccuracies remain which, having persisted this long in a publicly-accessible document, call into question the Brady Campaigns ability to publish credible reports and/or their capacity for telling the truth. |

Hes also attuned to the large-scale investments that the American military has made in roboticsboth fully automated systems and their cousins, the remotely controlled dronesin recent years. Singer explains that when U.S. forces went into Iraq, the original invasion had zero robotic systems on the ground. By the end of 2006, however, that figure had reached the 5,000 mark and growing and was projected to reach as high as 12,000 by the end of 2008. |

One problem with anti-gun laws is that their advocates hate guns, dont know anything about guns and are proud of this ignorance. But the greatest problem is that it is impossible to legislate intelligently (or even intelligibly) on a subject of which you are ignorant.
Our Founding Fathers believed in citizens God-given right to truth, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Second Amendment was their guarantee to the common man that he would be able to do so.
In the 21st century, the aristocracy of King George has been replaced by the godless social bureaucrats, people with money and power who always will have arms.

Some, like the group Students for Concealed Carry on Campus, which claims to have more than 38,000 members, think it would at least give people a better chance to survive.
Matt Guzman, leader of the advocacy group's Texas chapter, said that an armed student or citizen might even be more effective in taking down a gunman than law enforcement.
"It's a different situation between civilians that are armed and police that are armed," Guzman said in an interview on "Good Morning America Weekend" shortly after a school shooting at Northern Illinois University last year that left six people dead. "When police respond, there's multiple police officers, they're at a safer distance, 20, 30 feet away. And one officer doesn't fire; it's multiple officers firing. [If] it's one person, one criminal, a robbery, mugging, things of that sort [where] the victim is a couple feet away, you don't have to be a crack shot." But opponents argue that using a weapon for self-defense in a true emergency is not like target practice. |

"How do you hit the broad side of a barn in a news report when you can't see the core issues? How did we know the report would be misleading and terribly lacking? ... Guns, liberty, and our sovereign authority over officials in this country are inextricable, and I have shown why over the years. The armed citizen ... is and always has been a safeguard of our way of life. It is this safeguard which is now under attack."
"2009 sees an assault on that liberty (and our very authority) by a poor persuasive piece couched as a don't-run-with-scissors finger waving. The problem is that it did not stay on topic at all, and misses the core point of all gun ownership: it's not about guns, it's about carrying our own burdens ..." ... |

Ralph Scott has an easy explanation for why sales at his gun shop - the Lock, Stock and Barrel - have been booming since Barack Obama's election last November.
``Here's the sad fact of the matter - our business thrives on bad news,' he says.
Scott's firearms store in Portsmouth, Ohio, an economically stressed river town on the edge of Appalachia, has seen a 40 to 50 per cent spike in sales over the past five months, reflecting a national surge in demand for personal- use weapons that dates to just before the Nov. 4 election.
Wayne LaPierre, head of the NRA, last month described the current stockpiling of guns and ammo by Americans as ``one of the greatest freedom movements in the world right now.'

Wait a minute Mom. Don't let little Johnny go to his buddy Tommy's house. Tommy's parents are psychos that own -- **gasp** -- GUNS! This is the message that ABC is telling parents in an April 10 piece headlined, "Before Arranging Playdates, Ask About Guns."
Here ABC attempts to make every gun owner seem like a lunatic just ready to blow and encourages parents to be deathly afraid of anyone that owns a gun. It encourages parents to pry into the lives of family members of their kid's friends and bases it all on the lies passed off as scary gun violence statistics. |

This will be the first of many posts concerning the 2nd Amendment. To sum up my beliefs in one quick tag line: all your other rights are useless without the means to defend them... Todays topic is my reply to those who say, Yeah, but you dont really NEED that gun anyway. |
