The Change Carrier easily snaps on and off a belt or other strap, allowing for access to coins or a self-defense tool in an otherwise prohibited environment. Few EDC items will pass through security with the ease of a handful of change. But the Change Carrier unsnaps to become an innocent-looking yet highly effective impact weapon, more commonly known as a sap or a blackjack, for use when a social occasion becomes rather unsocial.

When the first Canik TP9 pistols arrived on the scene, it was as if the company wanted to prove that it was possible to make a great gun with an amazing trigger, minus the associated price tag. A few years later, Canik introduced the METE, which further refined the design and showed the world that it could be done on a modular platform, too. Pushing forward with that modular platform, the Canik SFx Rival made its debut at SHOT Show 2022, where it seemed like its purpose was to emphasize the statement, Canik can do anything.

NY: Second Amendment rights should be the discussion

Regarding the April 14 letter, Gun ownership involves certain responsibilities, I grew up about a decade after the writer, there were problems then. It has nothing to do with the NRA but rather the Second Amendment. Gun ownership is not a privilege, it is a right. It is just that simple.

The letter writer mentions he was able to talk people out of knives, that was not only because of his uniform but also the fact that he had a gun to back him up. People would like to have the same. No one I know wants to do the unthinkable, they would prefer to talk their way out of things but that isnt always possible.

The Newton County Quorum Court, by unanimous vote, will allow county employees to carry their concealed firearms while on the job.

The quorum court felt it is essential for each county employee to be able to defend themselves or others when the need arises. As long as the employee has a valid concealed carry permit, they can carry their gun.

A now-famous drive-by shooting rattled the Newton County Courthouse in 1949. While nothing similar has happened since it is one reason county justices arent taking any chances.

But her comments included wrong terminology and details about the case.

During a segment of the show on Wednesday, Behar said, The Supreme Court is poised to pass a bill contradicting the New York City, state laws.

She continued, We have very strict gun laws here. And they would like it to be apparently somebody has put this on their desk that New York should be an open carry state and an open carry city.

Imagine trying to hit a clay target flying almost twice the speed youre accustomed to at the skeet range. And you must start with your shotgun at a lowered position. That is what competitors at the Marble City Cup at Red Eagle Skeet and Trap Club in Childersburg faced at the first U.S. International Skeet event held in Alabama in decades.

Rep. Anthony Sabatini wants a Special Session on constitutional carry legislation. He sent a message to House colleagues to make the case that enough members desire the same.

We must act now to get this bill, the Howey-in-the-Hills Republican wrote.

Sabatini has filed legislation to establish an open carry law in Florida for three years, but his bills have not been heard. His most recent legislation (HB 103) sought to eliminate Floridas concealed carry permit requirements. He has said requiring individuals to get a permit to bear arms was akin to a permission slip from government before concealing a weapon for their self defense.

The Missouri House has granted initial approval to the latest version of Blairs Law.

The proposed law is named after an 11-year-old girl from the Kansas City area who was killed in 2011 when she was struck by a stray bullet on the Fourth of July. It attempts to ban what is often called celebratory gunfire, or people firing bullets indiscriminately into the air.

The bill, which sponsoring Rep. Rodger Reedy, R-Windsor, called common sense, would accomplish this by making it a crime to discharge a firearm with criminal negligence in or into the limits of any municipality. People violating the law could be charged with unlawful use of a weapon. The first offense would be a misdemeanor, and subsequent offenses would be felonies.

In St. Louis, a judge authorized police to break down the doors of three homes simultaneously without knocking. Officers killed a 63-year-old Black grandfather, and police said they found just over nine grams of heroin, marijuana, fentanyl and hydrocodone in the three homes combined.

In Houston, a judge approved scores of requests for no-knock warrants for officers who relied on unnamed informants. One raid led to a gun battle that left a White man and woman dead and four officers shot, and it failed to turn up the heroin police said they would find. The officer who requested the warrant later admitted he fabricated the confidential informant.

People who want to drive a car, go fishing or shampoo peoples hair at a blow dry bar typically have to obtain a government permit or license. But an increasing number of states no longer require residents to obtain a permit from a local law enforcement agency to carry a concealed gun.

Twenty-five states now have permitless concealed carry laws, most of them passed since 2015, with a spike in 2021 and 2022. In March alone, governors signed permitless carry laws in Ohio, Indiana and Alabama that will take effect over the next several months. Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signd a permitless carry bill April 12.

Accused cop-killer Richard James Rotter already had what news agencies in Washington State described as a lengthy criminal history including at least 18 felonies and hundreds of contacts with Kennewick Police over the years when he ran afoul of the law again in March.

When he was arrested by Everett Police, his history as an outlaw may have finally run its course. Rotter is the suspect in the broad daylight murder of Everett officer Dan Rocha in a confrontation that began with Rocha investigating what the Everett Herald described as suspicious circumstances.
