Legion is defined as: 1. The principal unit of the Roman army, comprising 3,000 to 6,000 foot soldiers with cavalry. 2. A large military force, especially army. 3. A very large number, multitude. 4. A national association of ex-servicemen. 5. A brotherhood of like-minded individuals who push themselves and their gear to the limits. The first four definitions come directly from Merriam-Webster; the fifth is a new interpretation that SIG Sauer is hoping will resonate with shooters and drive customers toward the companys new Legion Series handguns, and into the ranks of an exclusive web-based club open only to Legion owners. |

As of March, Wisconsin has issued 300,000 total concealed carry permits, but the state impact of right-to-carry laws is still widely debated. While this makes up less than 8 percent of Wisconsins adult population, concealed carry laws remain controversial. Those in favor argue concealed carry falls under ones right to defend themselves, while those against say violent crime increases when concealed carry is allowed. |

Chicago has many of the gun controls that Democrats insist are the solution to gun violence and it also has 169 homicides year-to-date. These 169 homicides are the exclamation point on a previous report that the city witnessed 862 shooting victims between January 1 and April 14 of this year. The Chicago Tribune reports that Chicagos total homicide rate for 2015 was 488. With 169 dead in mid-April 2016, the city is on track to either hit 488 or to surpass it by years end. |

Some judges might think you're allowed to shoot down drones that encroach on your turf, but don't tell that to the Federal Aviation Administration. In response to Forbes' questions, the agency says that shooting down a drone is a federal crime. You're still damaging an aircraft, according to the FAA -- it's just that this one doesn't have a pilot onboard. You could face up to 20 years in prison as a result, which is bound to make you think twice about blasting that drone peeping at your backyard.

On the other side, European Union officials are seeking to further disarm the law-abiding people who, more than in living memory, need firearms to defend themselves from those attacks.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"Secrecy is the keystone of all tyranny. Not force, but secrecy ... censorship. When any government, or any church, for that matter, undertakes to say to it's subjects, 'This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know,' the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything. You cannot conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him." --Robert A. Heinlein, "Revolt in 2100" (Pg. 68-69, Baen Books paperback edition, 1999 printing) |
