Sheriff Tom Kleinhelter was one of three people who requested the Dubois County Commissioners reconsider a resolution to join the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement. A wave of counties and states have approved resolutions showing unadulterated support for the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States at the request of citizen groups who have formed in response to potential gun control measures being enacted by federal and state governments. These 2A sanctuaries have adopted laws and resolutions that oppose, prohibit, or impede the enforcement of certain gun control measures.

The Constitutional Republicans of Western Pennsylvania are hosting a Second Amendment rally in Brookville on Saturday, May 15. The rally will begin at 1 p.m. on the lawn of the Jefferson County Courthouse. The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and the Pennsylvania Constitution guarantee the right of Americans and Pennsylvanians to own firearms, said Gary Smith, chairman of the CRWPA, in a news release Monday. This fundamental right is being attacked at the federal level. We hope this rally will send a loud and clear message to our elected representatives that we support our Second Amendment rights..

After being closed down for much of the COVID-19 pandemic, the John Millar Civic Center welcomed back guests the weekend of April 17-18 for the Houlton Gun Show. Vendors filled spaces up and down the civic center floor, selling a variety of firearms ranging from hunting rifles and six-shooter pistols, to modern military-grade semiautomatic weapons. Other types of weapons and survival gear, such as hatchets, knives and camouflage clothing, were also being sold. |

On April 15, 2021, Democratic members of Congress held a press conference announcing their introduction of the Judiciary Act of 2021, which would add four seats to the Supreme Court. The objective itself is bad enough, but its purpose means this would be the most radical change in the Supreme Court as an institution in American history. |

As President Joe Biden and his Department of Justice concoct new firearm restrictions for ordinary law-abiding Americans, pampered elites can rest assured that the government has no intention of holding them to account for violating these new, or even existing, gun control measures. This was made clear by the federal governments response to and potential attempted cover-up of a firearm incident involving Joe Bidens drug user son Hunter, as reported in a March 25 Politico article. |

Whether you call it the 9mm Luger, 9mm Parabellum, 9mm NATO, 9 millimeter, or just plain 9mm, 9x19mm ammunition is the most popular cartridge for handguns in the world with more than 60% of the world's law enforcement agencies currently using this ammo. The role of 9mm Luger bullets in World War I and its continued popularity today testifies to its capabilities as an efficient and effective cartridge.
Yet the 9mms journey from a bullet designed for submachine guns to, perhaps, one of the most controversial self-defense cartridges in the world, has been one of exponential growth and development. This continues into todays modern world, over 100 years since its conception. |

At first glance, it doesnt look like Smith & Wesson did anything drastic. In fact, the only apparent difference about this micro-compact handgun is the word PLUS etched onto the slide: But dont assume that means there arent others in this gun, because S&W has, in fact, taken its incredibly popular Shield pistol platform to an entirely new level. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by one enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. JOHN QUINCY ADAMS (1821) |
