Mass shootings have become institutionalized as an almost normal part of American life, as have the responses to such shootings. After each massacre, victims, their families and gun-control advocates bemoan the latest atrocity and call for background checks and a ban on assault weapons. Gun rights advocates oppose such reforms and stand behind the Second Amendment.

Some banks have embarked on a business path to enact policies to restrict gun sales and exert pressure on the firearms industry. Two of banks grabbing headlines for anti-gun policies are Citibank and Bank of America. Citibank, owned by Citigroup in New York, has issued a new policy called the U.S. Commercial Firearms Policy. Citi refuses to do business with any gun vendor that sells guns to customers under age 21even though federal law and the majority of states allow gun sales to individuals at least 18 years of age who are not otherwise prohibited from owning a gun.

Theres no two ways about it: The United States of America and its 50 state governments love putting people in prison.

The U.S. has both the highest number of prisoners and the highest per capita incarceration rate in the modern world at 655 adults per 100,000. (Its worth noting that Chinas incarceration statistics are dubious, and they execute far more people than the United States. Indeed, the so-called Peoples Republic executes more people annually than the rest of the world combined.) Still, thats more than 2.2 million Americans in state and federal prisons as well as county jails.

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) might be the dumbest Democratic candidate in the 2020 race which, in a crowded field of more-so-than usual whacko moonbats, is a pretty tough thing to pull off. With the charisma of Gumby, Swalwell somehow managed to prove these past few days he's not even worth half a bag of potato chips and that he's afraid to debate political opponents of the fairer sex.

I shoot a .22 a lot. Especially in the spring whistle pig (WP) hunting. The WPs official name is a Townsend Ground Squirrel. They look like a miniature prairie dog but are a little more hyper. On prairie dogs, the gun of choice is a .223, 25-06 or maybe a .308. Youll be getting long shots. On a WP, airguns, .22s, .22 mags and .17 HMRs are the guns of choice. I dont want to say that you dont get a chance at some long shots, but 90% of your shots will be under 125 yards. Mainly due to the terrain, sagebrush and how hyper that they are.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is reminding antler hunters that the gathering of horns or shed antlers does not begin until May 1 on public lands west of the Continental Divide. Since 2009, antler hunting is prohibited in the area from Jan. 1 through April 30 on all state-owned lands as well as federal lands. The closures to antler hunting seek to minimize harassment or disturbance of big game animals during and right after the long winter.
