We know the news media distorts reports of violence. Since Cain killed Abelif it bleeds it leads. The media sensationalizes ordinary crime stories to keep us from changing the channel. The media never thought wed take them seriously and change how we live. We changed our mind about a dangerous world.. and got a gun for self-defense. |

The suit, filed by the family of Jessica Mejia, claims that officers from the Cook County Sheriff's Office stripped Mejia of her clothes in plain view of onlookers gathered at the scene of the accident and took pictures of her naked body. |

This would eliminate the current safeguards for no good reason. Ohio's concealed-carry requirements are not onerous: Classes are widely available, convenient and affordable. Not only do they provide a basic introduction to gun handling and gun safety, but the instruction in self-defense laware valuable and sobering for anyone who assumes the responsibility of carrying a gun for self-defense.

We have sacrificed personal safety for a fraudulent claim of freedom which benefits gun manufacturers and merchants. On May 6, SB116 allowing concealed carry of guns without a permit will be voted on by the full New Hampshire house. Please ask your representative to vote no on this bill. Lets reverse this disturbing trend and begin working for a safer America where guns are about recreation, not violence against people. |

If you ask the typical American citizen the definition of the second amendment, their answers are invariably, the right to bear arms. One that does not study history would be left with the impression that those five words make up the entirety of it. However, that short phrase is only a segment within the larger wording and overall meaning.
A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state. This precedes the right to bear arms. Despite this fact, the majority of the text seems to have failed to prove itself relevant to the American public today. |

"The recent report of an Islamist plot against the Vatican highlights the need Christians have for self-defense firearms," gun rights expert John M. Snyder said here today.
"Islamist fundamentalists throughout the world are waging a genocidal war against Christians," said Snyder. "Christians must have access to self-defense guns so they can protect themselves and their families against these religious fanatics."
According to ANSA, an Italian news service, "The Vatican was reportedly in the cross-hairs five years ago of a Sardinia-based al-Qaeda Italian network that was busted Friday. |

Welcome to the Garden State. Just leave your guns at the border, please. Local news outlets are reporting on a court case which has recently come to a close wherein a citizen, identified only as Z.L., had applied for a gun permit in 2013. Keep in mind that this is not a permit to carry just to be able to purchase and own a gun. He was turned down because the background investigation revealed that he had been arrested on a domestic violence charge fifteen years earlier. But he was aquitted on the charge, so we should be able to clear this one up fairly quickly, right? Well, not in New Jersey, folks. |

Presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) have joined forces to put down the city by introducing legislation to weaken its gun laws. Rubio and Jordan would go so far as to allow gun owners to carry their weapons into D.C. buildings except not, perish the thought, into federal buildings and the U.S. Capitol.

But he prefers devices with a sharper edge Buck knives, switchblades and even stilettos. The Elko native, who grew up castrating bulls and cutting fences, considers a well-honed blade one of the tools of his country trade, rather than a weapon.
A working electrician, part-time citizen politician and full-time Second Amendment rights advocate, the 62-year-old Republican supports efforts to relax the states knife laws, part of a national trend to rethink the perils of what many supporters call the misunderstood switchblade. |

The magazine chose the Smith & Wesson (NASDAQ: SWHC ) Model 69 .44 Combat Magnum as the best handgun introduced in 2014. The model 69 was one of nine new guns the firearms manufacturer introduced last year.
As Shooting Illustrated asked itself, "Why did a magazine that covers the latest and greatest tactical and personal-defense firearms choose a revolver as its handgun of the year? Because revolvers still have an important place in the defensive realm, and the Model 69 takes the platform to an exciting new level." |

Recent history shows why Congress had to rein in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) with the Firearms Owners Protection Act of 1986.
On Friday, Feb. 13, 2015the eve of a three-day weekend, with members of Congress back in their home statesBATFE quietly announced its intention to ban the manufacture and importation of the M855 cartridge.
The plan was to take the second-most common variety of ammunition for the most popular rifle in America, the AR-15, off the market. |

The Hill is reporting this morning that gun control advocates have high hopes for Hillary Clintons presidential run, viewing her as an ally who can finish the push for tightened background checks that has stalled in President Obamas second term.
Evidently, all of those criticisms and warnings aimed at Clinton by Second Amendment advocates are correct, then. It is not just background checks that a Hillary presidency would tighten, those activists fear, but the regulatory noose around their necks as gun owners. |
