The Senate today voted 21-12 to override Gov. Hutchinsons veto of legislation to prevent state enforcement of federal gun laws. SB 298s fate now turns to the House, which has adjourned for the day. It is to convene at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Arkansas prosecutors and the Game and Fish Commission have been among those urging that the veto be sustained. And the override came after some heated debate that indicated some had thought an override wouldnt be attempted in favor of amending the bill to deal with problems cited by sheriffs, prosecutors and others. |

It is not really news that anti-gun hysteria among extremists and media elites has been at (what we can only hope is) peak insanity for some time, as the efforts to demonize law-abiding gun owners expanded to demonizing kids at play and beloved cartoon characters. Under Covid restrictions, while children learned virtually in their own homes, obvious toys elicited ridiculous responses from school administrators who seem to have so much fear over firearms that they call the police. |

These days we are lucky enough to have technology that continues to push the limits of both firearms and ammunition developments. Pilgrim ammunition has developed some pretty spicy .380 Auto, 9mm+P, and .45 ACP+P ammunition that is not only very high velocity, but also extremely light.

Today the National Rifle Association of Americas Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) and the Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs (ANJRPC) asked the Supreme Court to hear their challenge to New Jerseys prohibition on magazines capable of accepting more than 10 rounds of ammunition. New Jersey began restricting magazines in 1990, by outlawing magazines capable of accepting more than 15 rounds. But that was not enough for the gun-grabbing politicians in the Garden State. In 2018, the legislature arbitrarily redefined large capacity ammunition magazine to have a 10-round limitdespite the fact that larger magazines are the standard for many of the most popular firearms.

Hornady Zombie Max (Z-MAX) ammunition was a special line created for killing zombies. Yes, thats right zombies. No longer in production, this specialty ammo was basically a fun gimmick with surprisingly good performance. Paired with a cool packaging design, Hornady Z-MAX made for a great conversation piece and was very popular among shooters mainly because nobody knew how long it would be in production. Here are some of the features and uses of these fun zombie bullets (other than zombie control, of course). The official webpage also has a fun video and a great disclaimer thats worth a read. |

Okay, so its another miracle cleaner-lube-protectant. I get bottles of this stuff crossing my desk all the time. The upside is all of them work to a decent degree. The downside, at least for a writer, is differentiating between the various products. You wont have this problem with PrOlix Lubricant. The second you spray it, the unique aroma immediately lets you know there is something different at work. There is certainly a bit of citrus somewhere in the bouquet, mixed with a not-unpleasant solvent smell. |
