"You gotta love gun control advocates. Even though not many do. Yesterdays Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America rally in Indianapolis was another in the long, perhaps endless lines of damp squibs. Despite the groups deep-pocketed benefactors political juice and financial largesse, MDA couldnt assemble the promised anti-gun throng. Only about 50 Moms gathered a few blocks from the NRA convention to protest, well, the usual. I think 'evil gun lobby' was the theme. Whatever. MDA jefe Shannon Watts bodyguards were the headline attraction . . ." ..." |

"The Evil Princess and I took a pleasant spring day walk from the NRA meeting at the convention center in Indianapolis to the Veterans Park, where the Bloomberg-financed Everytown crew was holding forth. "I have been reading (and occasionally commenting on) TTAG for some time now. I read with interest one of your entries from Friday 4/25, 'How can the NRA become less white?' Or perhaps more generally (and more accurately), how can the NRA become more non-OFWG? I decided to address this in an email rather than a comment, mostly because this response is going to be fairly long, but also because the comments seem to be running along the lines of, 'Diversity? We dont need no steenkin diversity!' . . ." ... |

"The Chinese authorities have chosen a rather unusual firearm with which to arm their police forces, a revolver that shoots 9mm. The Wall Street Journal says that several readers contacted them with doubts about the accuracy of the story due to the unusual configuration ... but the WSJ says that the unusual design is purposeful. The move to beat cops carrying guns is a recent one, and the choice of a revolver is to minimize risks associated with introducing handguns into a society that has little experience with firearms. Also, they chose nonstandard ammunition so in the event a police weapon falls into the wrong hands, it will be more difficult to feed it. Chinese authorities are going to great lengths . . ." ..." |
