"Since 9-11 freedom invasion policies and federal surveillance of law-abiding citizens has escalated to a previously unimaginable scale in America and is reaching the point where our domestic policy is beginning to resemble that of the Nazi Germany era. We are already at a point where the Constitution and the average citizen are under siege. A watched people are NOT free. Program after program is being rapidly implemented under the pretext of fighting terrorism."

"Bellesiles turns out to have quoted sources out of context, to have falsely reported data, and to have claimed to have used documents that have not existed since the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. One historian familiar with Bellesiles work called it a case of "bona fide academic fraud." Emory University is investigating."

"It is, I suppose, conceivable that Bellesiles will manage to convince people that he was merely guilty of extraordinary sloppiness and not outright fraud, but regardless of his state of mind, his book is now well-established as untrustworthy."

In one category expanded government surveillance of cell phone and email traffic supporters now are in the minority, the poll indicates."

Many times when I am hunting and call up a good, mature bird, I still get the shakes."
