The Bill of Rights is a sacred trust that all of us inherited from our brave forefathers.
Those rights were paid for by blood, sweat, and tears, and anything that threatens them, or erodes their power, needs to addressed and corrected swiftly.
That is why we vehemently object to the presence of gun-toting citizens last week inside the state Capitol especially the photographs of protestors yelling in front of a line of Michigan State Police officers, who were in masks, calmly standing there, preventing the protesters from entering the state House chambers.
We always have stood in support of the First and Second amendments. That will not change. Nor does it here.

Not when it comes to the 2020 US Senate race in Montana, however. Liberal Gov. Steve Bullock's (D-MT) open embrace of a semi-automatic weapons ban and other gun control measures gives gun owners and the NRA an easy choice.
The NRA is endorsing Montana's Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) with an A+ rating. The Daines campaign announced the news Tuesday: |

Most guns fit neatly into categorieshunting, self-defense, cowboy action, plinking; yet, every once in a while, one defies labels. The Henry Axe fires .410 shotgun ammunition from a lever-action platform with metrics to match the Mossberg Shockwave and Remington Tac-14, direct bloodlines to Henrys own Mares Leg pistols. Meet the new Axe in the woodpile. |

My primary focus is on the inalienable right to self-defense, protected against infringement by the Second Amendment. I support candidates who understand and practice this right. Im not the least bit interested in candidates that support gun control, no matter how well-intentioned or disguised. Marco Rubio, Dan Crenshaw, and Donald Trump all fall into that category. Little Marco supported red flag laws, Dan supports the TAPS act, and Trumps ATF banned bump stocks without any legitimate authority to do so. |

Fresno City Councilman Miguel Arias has been cited after a confrontation between him and a group of protesters outside his home, according to Fresno police.
Video posted to Facebook shows a group, led by political activist Ben Berquam, turning up at Arias home on Tuesday. The footage shows Arias asking them to leave. He then shoves Berquam and knocks a cell phone out of the hand of another man.
FOX 5 sister station KGPE reports officers say Arias was cited for three counts of misdemeanor battery. Policy dictates that, so long as the suspect is cooperative, a citation is issued instead of the suspect been booked. A cited court date has been provided. |

You might know Norma from their long-standing reputation in the rifle and rimfire categories. They have a hard-earned reputation for precision and fail-safe performance. Recently, Ive started to test out their centerfire handgun line. First up is the Hexagon load. At first glance, youd think its self-defense ammo given the traditional jacketed design, cavity in the pointy end (although small), and scoring along the bullet jackets exterior.
As it turns out, the Norma Hexagon offering is a match load designed for accuracy, not expansion. Those grooves in the bullet arent there to facilitate jacket and core expansion but rather to create a more aerodynamically stable flight path. Its science. |

In the Garden State, Gov. Phil Murphy (D) has allowed tennis courts, golf courses and parks to reopen but not outdoor gun ranges, and is now the subject of a federal lawsuit over it.
The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court, cites Murphy as a defendant along with other New Jersey officials and was brought by healthcare worker Delores Ricci, 59, in conjunction with the Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs.
Ricci, a first-time gun owner, recently purchased a handgun for self-defense and, having no prior firearms experience, believes it is important to head to the range with her new gun. |

While many businesses shut down during the pandemic, a business in LeClaire that teaches women how to protect themselves and sells the products to do just that opened for the first time.
Mama Bears Concealed Carry opened early last month.
Angie Fullmer owns it with her husband.
Fullmer says times are uncertain, and she wants to help women protect themselves.
That also includes helping them choose the right bag carrying their self-defense weapon. Whether its a gun, knife or pepper spray. |

Bandy wrote, Given the nature of the events, the location and ownership of the property, the verbal threats made by Zachary Stinson accompanied by the apparent ability to carry out the threat to kill Jesse Peterson, and the current state of all of the evidence available; the State would not be able to meet its burden to overcome Jesse Petersons right to self-defense, defense of property, and/or other defenses beyond a reasonable doubt. |

Leave it to the National Rifle Association to exploit the COVID-19 pandemic for its own gain.
But thats what the NRA has been doing in recent months fearmongering over the crisis to drive up gun sales and try to broaden its membership base.
On social media and internet videos, the NRA paints a dystopian picture in which social order has spun apart and guns are the only means of assuring survival. Think Mad Max except with people fighting over food instead of fossil fuels. |

U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchars 2020 presidential bid didnt last long, but it seems like her Uncle Dick is stuck sitting up in that dang deer stand.
The third-term Minnesota Democrat, wishing she brought some wine, joined Everytown for Gun Safetys Veepstakes virtual candidate panel to audition for the Number Two spot on former Vice President Joe Bidens 2020 presidential ticket. Bidens antigun platform is becoming increasingly more well-known at the same time as millions of first-time gun buyers begin to pay more attention to the campaign. Gun controls godfather billionaire Michael Bloomberg funds Everytown, which joined their benefactor to endorse Biden and pledged to spend big to help his campaign. |

Local gun shops were staring down the barrel of possible financial ruin until a federal judge ruled last week that Gov. Charlie Bakers orders to close placed an improper burden on peoples constitutional rights to possess firearms.
U.S. District Judge Douglas P. Woodlock in Boston ordered Massachusetts to allow gun shops to reopen nearly two months after Bakers administration deemed them nonessential businesses that needed to close to slow the spread of COVID-19. Sales at area stores have gone through the roof since noon on Saturday, when they were allowed to open the doors again. |
