"The San Diego Second Amendment Sisters/Armed Informed Mothers (SAS/AIM) was joined by the San Diego members of the Tyranny Response Team in Balboa Park on Mother's Day 2001. Our ranks were sparse but spirited. The signs encouraging passing drivers to 'Honk if you own a gun' or 'Honk if you love freedom' kept the air alive with honking horns. Most cars passing through the intersection offered support. As expected, we also received a few 'thumbs down'..." |

Henry Schaffer's thorough review of Josh Sugarman's book, 'National Rifle Association: Money, Firepower, and Fear'.
"This author is clearly more interested in dramatically showing horrible things about the NRA than in presenting a clear informative view. Insinuation, guilt by association, and comparing apples and oranges are the standard methods." |

Article from the The Hartford Courant regarding Mother's Day rallys put on by the Second Amendment Sisters and the MMM. Not much to note about the "Gun Rights" portion of the article... mostly the same bad information from the "Gun Control" side. |

"We require in this state that to obtain a license to drive a car you have to learn to drive a car safely. Shouldn't you have to learn to use a gun safely?" Assemblyman Kevin Shelly asked the crowd. |

"Roni Bowers and her baby Charity were killed not by drug dealing gangs or criminal thugs, but instead by government agents. They were 'collateral damage' in the war on drugs."
"The increasing militarization of the drug war and our local police forces is a dangerous trend."
It's nice having a sheriff who'll tell it like it is. |

"GUN crime in Britain will escalate sharply as drug gangs battle for supremacy...The sharp warnings will be accompanied by new pleas from senior police officers for stricter gun laws...He will demand new laws to outlaw many replica guns and to ban the licence-free ownership of machines to reload bullets." Don't think for a minute that their appetite knows any bounds or that they have run out of ideas. |

Saf-T-Hammer Corp. buys Smith & Wesson at a bargain-basement price, while seller, Tomkins, posts a major loss on the sale. No mention in any of the numerous press releases, however, of the odious gun control agreement S&W signed with the former Clinton administration. |

According to George Washington, "Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." No matter how high-minded a law sounds, its only power comes from the business end of a gun.
Are you willing to shoot somebody to enforce your favorite laws? |

President Bush, stepping back into the gun-control debate, is renewing his pledge to help communities and states combat gun violence.
Bush said during the presidential campaign that he supported closing gun show loopholes.
Yes, and we hoped he was lying. Looks like a liberal in elephant pants to me. |

Ari Armstrong put together a set of pictures from the Trillion Mom March rally. One of the male "moms" holds a sign saying, "Abolish ALL Hand Guns," and the event takes place beneath a statue of an armed patriot.
If the government abolishes all handguns, how they'll get criminals to comply is a mystery -- as is the question of how they'd get ours. These people are actually quite funny and cute, like little puppies who aren't smart enough not to chew on electrical cords. |
