Before you instantly make the assumption that this post is the rant of a 'gunshop commando' just being an asshole; you need to hear me out. I look forward to helping someone purchase a firearm for defense or their new waterfowl gun. I really enjoy helping a parent match their child to their first firearm. "When choosing a concealed carry holster for your pistol, selecting the best holster you can find will add to your overall total self-defense abilities. A holster/pistol combination is part of your concealed carry defensive system. While looking at a quality holster the one factor you should consider last is the cost. Experience has taught me you get what you pay for. There should be no delays to your reactions caused by inappropriate or inadequately fitting equipment. With your life depending on it, you may never get the chance to tell others you should have picked the higher quality model." ... |

"I write concerning the incredible availability of handguns to our society. It's great that both New Jersey and New York have strong gun laws, but the strength of these laws is diluted when a criminal can travel to a state with more relaxed laws to buy a gun for resale in our community -- this is an outrage."

Submitter's Note: Sen. Stark neglects to mention that 5 of those 72 were accidental GSWs, 3 succumbed to injuries from decades before, 2 were 'blue-on-blue' casualties, and 2 were killed with their own weapons. Oh, and one was killed in a terrorist attack in Germany and one with a "Gunwalker" gun in Mexico, which leaves 58 (or not quite a third of the total officer deaths in 2011. I'm not sure what makes these officers more important than the 94 other line-of-duty deaths, but Sen. Stark seems to think they are. |
