The Arizona Auditor General released a report "showing" that the 3 days allowed for background checks were insufficient to determine if the purchaser was a felon. The report recommends more time -- up to 30 days -- to allow law enforcement to complete the checks. This recommendation is supported by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, which conducts the checks. ~~At least according to Sarah Brady. |

"Prof. Jean Cobbs --who laid the foundation for academic excellence in her field of Social Work at VSU, only to have her rights denied, her person and her dignity assaulted, and her nationally prominent program taken from her and destroyed-- is approaching her moment of justice, supported by a major ruling by the Virginia Twelfth Circuit Trial Court.
What had Jean Cobbs done to receive such abusive treatment? ... She is a black scholar who, her administration discovered, is a Republican." |

"...during the intense media coverage that followed, inconsistencies began emerging. Stories kept changing and although I couldn't see the emerging political angle, I could sense it. Those who dared oppose the revisionist news accounts were ostracized, mocked, discredited, dark-cornered, etc... Based on two years of intense research and investigation, this book gives the public an insight into the evidence which the grand jury will confront."--Rep. Charles Key |

~This letter is provided by the Wester Missouri Shooters Alliance website.
"While I cannot comment on any pending litigation, let me state unequivocally my view that the text and the original intent of the Second Amendment clearly protect the of right of individuals to keep and bear firearms. ... Just as the First and Fourth Amendment secure individual rights of speech and security respectively, the Second Amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms."
KABA NOTE: Sounds great, right? In his letter, Ashcroft even quotes several Supreme Court cases to prove this point. AND THEN he drops the bomb:
"Of course, the individual rights view of the Second Amendment does not prohibit Congress from enacting laws restricting firearms ownership for compelling state interests, such as prohibiting firearms ownership by convicted felons, just as the First Amendment does not prohibit shouting "fire" in a crowded movie theater." |

LET THE GAMES BEGIN !!
See last sentence in fourth paragraph! "The utilities have also resisted giving warnings, saying they did not want to tip off burglars and other criminals."
~Didn't the LA City Council just outlaw the purchase of ammunition without permission (permit)? First person injured by a criminal during a blackout MUST sue the City of LA and the State for abridging their right to self-defense and then gift KABA with enough of the governments cash to keep them online for life!!
KABA NOTE: Thank you Don! :) |

After winning the presidency, the Grand Old Party may not get everything it wants, but a new Washington establishment has undoubtedly taken hold with George W. Bush. This year's Power 25 survey--FORTUNE's list of Washington's most powerful lobbying groups--reflects the change. For the first time in four years, the Power 25 has a new No. 1: the heavily Republican National Rifle Association. |

"Credit the Hanson town fathers -and mothers- for recognizing a truely awful event. Two years ago, they tried to ban the shooting entirely, but lost in a Town Meeting vote after gun club members recited their scripted rant about losing their God-given right to bear arms."
~~Scripted rant? When did the Second Ammendment to the U.S. Constitution become scripted rant? If you would like to write to the gentleman who wrote this garbage his email is [email protected] |

"They are kids who kill classmates and teachers. TIME's Timothy Roche and Amanda Bower delve into the harsh and unforgiving lives of 12 teens who shot up their schools. ... To this day, a few of the boys (school shooters) refuse to explain themselves. And it is fair to ask why we would want to hear from any of them anyway or have sympathy for what they have to say." |
