Seems like every day the local news leads off with another story about a shooting in Indianapolis or sadly, a mass shooting at a school or place of business somewhere in America. With all the rhetoric about guns, its important to know your legal rights and how the law protects you and your family. |

Besides tributes to those who have given their lives in defense of our country, there was also a die-in protest at Publix by the anti-gun Left led by activist David Hogg. Publix is a Florida-based supermarket chain that operates in the Southeastern U.S. It had given to 2018 Republican gubernatorial candidate Adam Putnam, who is a supporter of the National Rile Association. Was it effective? Well, for the gun control crowd, they sure think so; Publix announced they would suspend political donations (via WaPo) |

One has to wonder what, exactly, it will take in order to convince the commentariat that to insist, Nobody wants to take your guns, is to indulge and to perpetuate an obvious lie. Polling shows that around one in five Americans wants to abolish the Second Amendment and institute a total ban on the private ownership of firearmsand yet it is broadly maintained in the press that nobody holds that position. Protesters at rallies frequently exhibit signs declaring that the right to keep and bear arms has to go, yet their words are carefully downplayed. |

As a high school science fair project, Kai Kloepfer developed a handgun that can only be activated by its owners fingerprints. He was 15 at the time. His goal was to reduce deaths by creating a gun that wont function in the hands of toddlers, suicidal teens, or anyone without permission to use it. Now, six years later, that project has evolved into the startup Biofire Technologies, which is poised to put its first smart gun on the market. The startup is part of a small but motivated group of companies that are racing to launch the countrys first smart gun. |

As America fought in the Philippines in the 1899-1902 Philippine-American war the American soldiers found themselves up against the indigenous Moro tribe who, among other tribes, were said to often take native herbs or drugs that made them fierce to fight. It was said they made bold charges against the Americans with little regard to the .38 caliber bullets they were being shot with by the Colt .38 M1892 that was standard issue to U.S. troops. Reports back from the Philippines urged the Army, and their suppliers, to develop a firearm that would be a real "man-stopper". |

Thats the phrase Seattle radio icon Dori Monson employed in constructing his own temporary shanty in the Eastlake neighborhood of the city in a display of reasonable objection towards the regressive policy enacted by the city to address homeless issues, and the additional financial burden on corporations and residents in funding a putrid cottage industry marked by dirty drug needles and human waste. Currently, Seattle faces an epidemic of bums and tent cities, due the propensity of law makers towards enablement, with the ulterior motive in padding personal offshore bank accounts, while taxing the middle class to oblivion. |
