Methodology: The Harris Poll was conducted by telephone within the United States between April 26 - May 5, 2001, among a nationwide cross section of 1,014 adults.
~~~~ If a stranger called your house asking if you have guns, your income level, etc. what would you say? I don't think gun ownership has declined. I just think gun owners are getting more secretive about the guns they own.
KABA NOTE: Jeff is right -- there is no way to know if this study is correct or not. |
The right to bear arms belongs to you, not to the government.
"Before the New Deal, we don't see a lot of information about the opinions of attorneys general toward the Second Amendment  mainly because there was essentially no federal gun control." --Dave Kopel |
"The board is expected to vote next week to sue the state to stop the changes (that would make Michigan a shall issue CCW state). Ingham county is also joining in on the suit. Gun boards in Michigan's remaining 81 counties would eventually be asked to join the suit."
KABA NOTE: The bottom line is the "Gun Board" wants to retain its power to reject concealed carry permits on their own whim. Either they care nothing about the citizens' safety or rights, or they are too stupid not to be brainwashed by anti-gun propaganda. Either way, they are a destructive force and should be disbanded. |
Disabled golfer Casey Martin may use a cart to ride in tournaments, the Supreme Court ruled Tuesday, saying federal law requires a leveling of the playing field for the handicapped, even in pro sports. ~~~~ I realize this is not RKBA related but if the Imperial Federal Government can regulate professional sports, where is the limit? |
A Tennessee man was shot to death at a truck stop on Monday, apparently by a former girlfriend he had kidnapped from her mothers home earlier in the day.
KABA NOTE: The media title was 'Tennessee man shot to death at truck stop'. The title for this story should read "Woman Kills the Lowlife Scumbag Who Kidnapped Her and Shot her Mother". |
After 21 years of deep-dish pizza, ribs and cheesecake at the 'Taste of Chicago', John Birch wants to add a new item to the menu: concealed guns.
Unloaded, of course.
Concealed guns are illegal in Illinois, but Birch believes a loophole gives people the right to carry unloaded weapons in fanny packs.
~~Seems like everything the liberals don't have a law against is a 'loophole' these days. |
