Starting in September, Texans will be able to legally use brass knuckles for self-protection.
Gov. Gregg Abbott signed House Bill 446 over the Memorial Day weekend, making it lawful to carry things like brass knuckles, wild kat keychains and clubs for self-defense.
State Rep. Joe Moody filed the legislation, saying too many people were being charged with a crime for owning the self-defense tool, the Texas Standard reported. |

Do you hike, bike, travel, hunt, fish, or any other number of activities? Do you carry a handgun for self-defense? If so, carry a good flashlight. The statistics indicate approximately 60% of all confrontations occur in dim light conditions. That does not necessarily mean complete darkness, but rather diminished lighting to the point where your ability to identify the threat is jeopardized. |

New York City bans taking your licensed sidearm out of the city, for any reason, and their local courts have approved of this law. After a nine-year vacuum on gun cases at the High Court, this is the perfect one to bringstraight forward, severe, a blatant violation on the right to bear arms, outrageous on its face, a raw exercise of uncontrolled power. Controversially decided in two lower courtsagainst the civil right to armsthats the nub of the case. Can lower courts operate outside strict guidelines the High Court itself has set? Can lower courts write their own law? |

Brazilian gun laws are some of the strictest in the world. President Jair Bolsonaro started to reform the administration of the laws in 2019. He did this by using his power of Presidential decrees. This changes the rules of how the law is administered. Much of the abuse under the law was through the administrative rules. Changes to the law must come through the Congress, those changes have not been enacted yet.
Because most Americans do not read Portuguese, Brazilian lawyer and licensed Professional Shooter, Csar Mello, made a youtube video, in English, to educate the rest of the world about Brazilian gun laws, their history, and what may be expected next. |

When we are discussing the present situation, to include how to defeat the long game being used by anti-Second Amendment extremists, one big thing we need to do is to understand that the fight has shifted. Were no longer just fighting the normal battle on political and legislative fronts. The fight has now expanded to cultural outlets, corporate boardrooms, Silicon Valley censorship, and social stigmatization. It is now a full-spectrum fight. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
As civil rulers, not having their duty to the people before them, may attempt to tyrannize, and as the military forces which must be occasionally raised to defend our country, might pervert their power to the injury of their fellow citizens, the people are confirmed by the article in their right to keep and bear their private arms. Tench Coxe in `Remarks on the First Part of the Amendments to the Federal Constitution' under the Pseudonym "A Pennsylvanian" in the Philadelphia Federal Gazette, June 18, 1789 at 2 col. 1. |
