When first comparing the 5.7mm vs. 9mm, one might think they're very different.
The 9mm has a heavier bullet, while the 5.7 is more aerodynamic. The 9x19mm looks like a traditional semi-auto handgun round, and the 5.7 appears to be a miniature rifle cartridge. |

Mass shooting incidentsor incidents that looked like they might have become mass shootingsoften lead both to some calling to try to limit would-be killers' access to guns, and others calling to try to increase the number of law-abiding people who can have guns easily available for defensive purposes. Both kinds of calls in turn lead to practical skepticism. |

It's very clear that, in his own mind, Joe Biden isn't the president of the American people. He is president only of those American people who support his agenda or who can be used to advance his agenda. Biden made that clear when, after ignoring the obviously race-related mass slaughter in Waukesha, he made a beeline for Buffalo, New York, where an evil man nurtured on leftist politics and racial obsessions went on a murder spree. Once there, Biden talked about gun-grabbing and race. |

The Second Amendment is an individual right, its purpose is to give citizens a way to defend themselves. |

Comedian Dean Obeidallah wrote a column for MSNBC on Saturday that argued the right to own a gun was decided by a "cravenly political" Supreme Court rather than the U.S. Constitution. As several media outlets attacked supporters of the Second Amendment as "barbarians" in the wake of a mass shooting in Texas, Obeidallah insisted that it was the 2008 Heller case that decided that owning guns was a "constitutionally guaranteed right." |

The spring turkey season came to a withered end in most of the state, including central Ohio, last Sunday. Compared both with a year ago and with the past three years, results were wanting. Counting the youth weekend take in early April, hunters checked 11,770 bearded birds in 83 counties. Thats 2,680 fewer, a decline of 18.5%, than reported during spring 2021 and 5,290 fewer, a drop of 31%, than the three-year average. |
