The gun debate is often an emotional issue. Unfortunately, there isnt one gun debate, but perhaps dozens of gun debates. Even the questions that seem simple are difficult to answer well.
-Are guns too easy to get? -Does a firearm in your home put you at greater risk? -How often do ordinary citizens defend themselves with a firearm?
There are questions hidden within questions as we look for the truth. |

When discussing the full-spectrum threat to our Second Amendment rights, one of the weapons we have to contend with is blacklisting. Whether it comes from Andrew Cuomo or social stigmatization, this is a weapon intended to chill activism on the part of Second Amendment supporters. What it does, for all intents and purposes, is to tell them, If you oppose our agenda, we will destroy your ability to make a living and wreck your life. |

Regarding George Morrison's "Pass reasonable gun regulations," I believe I've heard that refrain before.
George uses the word sad five times in the first two paragraphs. It's an appropriate word for a man who swore to protect the Constitution when joining the Air Force but tells the reader how he would infringe on their right to keep and bear arms, including confiscation without due process. |

But behind the scenes in recent weeks, the Silicon Valley tech giant has delivered a different message to gun-selling retailers such as Camping World: Stop selling military-style rifles, or stop using our software.
The pressure Salesforce is exerting on those retailers barring them from using its technology to market products, manage customer service operations and fulfill orders puts them in a difficult position. Camping World, for example, spends more than $1 million a year on Salesforces e-commerce software, according to one analyst estimate. Switching to another provider now could cost the company double that to migrate data, reconfigure systems and retrain employees. |

Any discussion on cartridges, bullets and terminal effectiveness usually devolves into debates, with shooters firmly ensconced in one of two camps. The first camp comprises those who believe that bullet weight and diameter are the most important factors. These people believe that a large bullet, with its greater mass, will penetrate deeply and reach a vital organ or the central nervous system. On the other side of the debate are those who believe that a bullets velocity is one of the most important metrics in terminal performance. |

The house of representatives has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to rescind an executive order mopping up guns with private individuals.
The lower legislative chamber made the call on Thursday after adopting a motion seeking to revoke the executive order to remove, revoke and banish all firearms certificates and licences throughout the federation.
It said mopping up the guns would expose citizens to dangers and deny them self defense. |

Thats not an update to the Second Amendment. Thats a wholesale dismantling of an essential American right to keep and bear arms. The Second Amendment expressly protects the pre-existing individual rights of all Americans to keep and bear arms. Those rights yes, two rights - dont end at a states borders. Cubans ideas, though, arent surprising given his history of appeasement toward gun control demands. |

State Representative Darren Bailey (R-Xenia) voted NO on Wednesday on sweeping gun control legislation. Senate Bill (SB) 1966 as amended, will impact at least 2.4 million Illinois citizens who currently hold a Firearm Owner I.D. (FOID) cards and Concealed Carry License (CCL) and any future citizens who wish to exercise their U.S. Constitutional 2nd Amendment right.
I promised to defend the Constitution, and our Second Amendment rights are under attack again in Illinois, Bailey said. This was an easy NO vote on a proposal to mandate fingerprinting and background checks, increase fees and expand court-ordered revocations of FOID cards and concealed carry licenses. |

If indeed the Supreme Court is holding Rogers for the NYC case, it would mean that the Court probably anticipates that the decision in the NYC case will impact Rogers in some manner. Once the NYC case is decided, we anticipate that the Supreme Court would then decide how to handle Rogers going forward, perhaps agreeing to hear the case, or perhaps sending the case back to the lower courts to be decided in accordance with the ruling in the NYC case. |

Chambered for the 9mm cartridge, Rugers trio of new PC Carbines with free-float handguards have all the makings of being tough, versatile utility guns to handle all sorts of challenges, from home defense to predator control. All three have many similarities, and a few significant differences well detail presently.
For openers, they all feature a 16.12" cold hammer-forged barrel crafted from chrome-moly steel with ultra-precise 1:10" rifling with six lands and grooves on a right-hand twist. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them. Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States; With a Preliminary Review of the Constitutional History of the Colonies and States before the Adoption of the Constitution [Boston, 1833]. |
