While speaking at the National Rifle Association (NRA) convention on Friday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott spoke his mind about the true source of gun violence.

Abbott pushed back on gun control advocates arguing that the answer to gun violence is not to take guns away, the answer is to strengthen the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.

Fridays meeting was the first convention since the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, as well as the resulting activism in favor of gun control.

They are the "good guys with guns" the National Rifle Association says are needed to protect students from shooters: a school police officer, a teacher who moonlights in law enforcement, a veteran sheriff. Yet in a span of 48 hours in March, the three were responsible for gun safety lapses that put students in danger. The school police officer accidentally fired his gun in his Virginia office, sending a bullet through a wall into a middle school classroom.

For some reason, Alyssa Milano took it upon herself to take part in a protest of the NRA by the No NRA or NoRA group at this years NRA Convention site, and it didnt go so hot. Between a shockingly small turnout (some shots look to show a few dozen people, others show maybe 100, half of whom were journalists) and a good deal of missteps like Alyssa bringing armed security to the event, this group protest was a serious dumpster fire.
