"Having experienced humiliation by supporting the false accuser of the Duke lacrosse players, the Reverend Jesse Jackson's latest race-baiting initiative (read: his latest attempt to get his face in front of the media) involves taking up the mantle of gun control. The fruit of his labor was an article called 'Gunning For Guns', published, among other places, in the Xenia (OH) Gazette."

"Commentary by Buckeye Firearms Association editors, Chris Chumita or Chad Baus is in crimson."

"I know I keep talking about this (also here), but I'm still not quite ready to drop 'Father' Michael Pfleger's call to 'snuff out' gun shop owner John Riggio, along with unnamed pro-rights legislators. Here in the U.S., we're just not accustomed to the clergy advocating murder. ... this is an American born and raised Catholic priest calling for murder."

"Some might claim that Pfleger didn't really mean that Riggio and Pfleger's enemies in the legislature should be killed. In fact, one of his minions makes just that claim"

"Vince Clark, a spokesman for Pfleger, told Cybercast News Service Wednesday that the pastor wasn't aware of the violent connotation of 'snuff' and didn't mean to threaten bodily harm." ...

"The much-vaunted Senate 'compromise' on immigration is a compromise alright: a compromise of our laws, a compromise of our sovereignty, and a compromise of the Second Amendment. That anyone in Washington believes this is a credible approach to solving our immigration crisis suggests just how out of touch our political elites really are." ...

"According to the pro-Second Amendment Gun Owners of America, the legislation also makes it easier to target gun dealers for prosecution. Even gun clubs could find themselves targeted under this immigration reform legislation." ...

"It's sad to see such callous disregard for the rights of others. For many 'average' citizens, handguns offer the only practical exercise of their Second Amendment rights. FULL TEXT BELOW:

I'd like to comment on the stories about the child with the gun card. It's not a loophole. It was written into the law. It can be used as a form of identification. The attacks on all of these so-called gun owners, at least when you read the newspaper, is against their Second Amendment right. I believe it's one-sided and does not share both sides.

As a retired police officer carrying a weapon for many years, many weapons are used by people for good use of protection of the people. The Second Amendment right is something that we must have, and it is a multibillion-dollar-a-year business, and it's only a small group of people that are using weapons illegally, and so on.
