Once again, a terrorist that has pledged allegiance to ISIS has struck the U.S. mainland and killed innocent people. And once again, the politicians are using the lost lives of our citizens to push their political agenda. Pushing for gun control that would have made no difference. |

A gay gun group is urging the LGBTQ community to consider carrying weapons to fight back against attacks like the weekend slayings in an Orlando club. Pink Pistols spokesperson Gwendolyn Patton said, "This is exactly the kind of heinous act that justifies our existence. At such a time of tragedy, let us not reach for the low-hanging fruit of blaming the killer's guns. Let us stay focused on the fact that someone hated gay people so much they were ready to kill or injure so many." |

The nation's gun debate is a hot topic once again. Defense attorney, Chet Pleban, is here to explain how the mass shooting in Orlando could persuade future decisions made on gun rights cases. Last week a federal appeals court ruled, 7-4, that there is no Second Amendment protection for concealed weapons, and that states are allowed to prohibit or restrict you from carrying a concealed firearm. |

The debate over guns is heating up once again, following this weekends massacre in Orlando. In the past year, Americans have been buying guns in record numbers, as people look to protect themselves, or fear further regulations. Do mass shootings make you more supportive of gun control, or more likely to want to purchase a firearm to protect yourself?According to the FBI, nearly 12 million firearm background checks have been conducted so far this year. That is about four million more compared to last year at this time. |

A hearing in Ft. Lauderdale court will determine if a suspended Broward Sheriffs deputy can claim his shooting a man armed with an air rifle was self defense. Deputy Peter Peraza is charged with manslaughter in the fatal 2013 shooting of 33-year-old Jermaine McBean. Behavioral laws require three components to be effective. They must accurately describe an action that causes harm to others. They must propose a penalty that disincentivizes the activity. They must be enforceable. Lets consider the laws against murder. The harm done is obvious. The penalties range up to death. They can be enforced by an examination of the evidence during trial, and punishment. |

The Libertarian Party sent out a call on Monday afternoon to end gun-free zones they believe keep Americans from defending themselves from attackers like the one who took the lives of 49 people and wounded 53 more at the Pulse Nighclub early Sunday morning. The Libertarian Party is the only political party calling for sensible, serious policy change that would reduce the frequency of mass shootings as well as minimize the damage they do. says Libertarian President says Nicholas Sarwark, Chair of the Libertarian National Committee Virtually all mass shootings happen in gun-free zones. |

When commercial gunmaker Springfield Armory decided to begin making and selling a civilian version of the M14 rifle, it didnt seem a plan long for this world. The M14 had been a qualified failure as a military arm and had been replaced years earlier. Why would civilians buy it? In truth, even Springfield was not sure if the public would go for it and, if it did, for how long. But the company, then based in Texas, had acquired a large stock of military surplus M14 parts (from canceled government orders and guns returned from foreign militaries) and by making its own mil-spec or better receivers, it figured it could turn a fast buck. That was more than 25 years ago. |

Second Amendment Sports General Manager Brandon Armstrong told 23ABC that he usually sees an uptick in gun sales following a mass shooting, and Monday's response to the Orlando night club shooting was no different. "A lot of people think it's the gun's fault and we need tougher gun laws and things like that, and I don't think that's the case," said Armstrong. |

Last time I said you could do all North American wingshooting with one shotgun, a light 12-gauge gas gun. Sorry to be no fun, but its true. However, this space is not about need, therefore, here are the five guns you need for North American wingshooting:
#1) A dedicated turkey gun Short barrel, tight choke, sling swivels and some type of sight makes a turkey gun. It should be a 12 gauge with 3 or, if you must, 3 inch chambers. Mine is an exceedingly ugly 870 Super Magnum with a 22-inch barrel, iron sights and a tapped receiver for a scope or red dot. Last couple of years I have been in a red dot mood. |

The New York Times published an op-ed May 31 that uses some truly absurd logic to push national, federal registration of firearms and fingerprinting of gun owners as a solution to violent crime. Under the headline Gun Control That Actually Works, author Alan Berlowwho has demonstrated his journalistic fairness and lack of bias by labeling the NRA a lobby for criminals and a twisted, paranoid organization whose main achievement is to have made law enforcement harderdescends yet again into hyperbole and hokum by arguing, in essence, that the reason some people dont commit crimes is because theyre law-abiding people. |
