In 2003, .45 Glock Automatic Pistol (GAP) ammunition was introduced as the first cartridge to have the Glock name attached to it. Designed as a rimless, straight-walled round, the .45 GAP shares the same bullet diameter of the popular .45 Automatic Colt Pistol (ACP), a hefty .451 inch. For the .45 GAP, the bullet sits in a .755-inch casing (the same length of a 9mm shell), giving the full ammunition an overall length of 1.070 inches. |

Remington introduced the 5mm Magnum as an improved version of the .22 Mag. from 1969. While the 5mm has slightly better performance, it was never quite as popular as the .22. Ammunition is still being made today, although there are no rifles in production. |

The sheriff of a large, but largely rural, county in east-central Washington State told a group of constituents last Friday that drugs are a much bigger crime problem than guns.
Yakima County Sheriff Bob Udell does not mince words when it comes to criticizing gun control advocates who are also soft-on-crime. The county, he says, has a terrible drug problem with gangs trafficking in fentanyl. His department currently has 51 commissioned deputies to patrol an area of more than 4,300 square miles. It makes for some challenges. |

Floridas Concealed Weapon License is going away. July 1, the Sunshine State will become a permitless carry state. This means anyone legally allowed to own a gun can carry it concealed without a license to do so. Florida Gun Owners director Luis Valdes said the new law is a step in the right direction for maintaining the right to bear arms. |
