"New Jersey, with its outrageously high taxes, its left-wing media, and a state government and congressional delegation constantly advancing the disarmament of law-abiding citizens, offers a notable example as to why people still need the "force insurance" provided by the Second Amendment." |

"Hunters and fishermen have a long history of being the major source of funding for maintaining America's healthy fish and wildlife. Through fundraisers, donations and special excise taxes paid on tackle, gear and ammunition, they have contributed billions of dollars over the years.

"The McCain-Lieberman gun show bill is marketed as "gun safety," but it's not, Consumer Federation of America (CFA) stated today. A coalition of more than 70 domestic violence, public health, consumer groups and others oppose the bill, which is full of NRA-inspired provisions from last Congress. The first advertisement placed by the coalition reads, "24 Hours is Not Enough Time to Stop a Batterer From Getting a Gun," and calls for members of Congress to oppose the McCain-Lieberman bill. "

"In the end, many law-abiding citizens will end up in jail for merely being gun owners or acting in self-defense. A spouse, maneuvering for the upper hand in a divorce proceeding, can place a gun owner in violation of gun laws merely by obtaining a restraining order. Prosecutors already bring first-degree murder charges against occupants who shoot threatening intruders in self-defense." |

"Now that terrorism has finally come to the United States, most analysts believe it's a shoo-in more attacks are being planned and will eventually be carried out. That's scary stuff, but reality often can be frightening.
Nevertheless, Americans are a robust people and when threatened are pretty scary themselves. Just ask the now-retreating al-Qaida and Taliban forces running from our special operations troops in Afghanistan and beyond."

I'd like to pick a couple of things and send short web links for your readers to visit and read for themselves." |
