"...Clinton and Kerry have both donned hunting garb to project their false Second Amendment credentials, but Ronald Reagan knew the difference between words and action."
"In fact, President Reagan, the owner of an AR-15, was a strong and consistent supporter of the Second Amendment and the NRA. He was a long time member, joining NRA in December of 1972 and upgrading to Life Member in August of 1979. He actively courted the NRA's endorsement in both of his presidential campaigns, and was the first presidential candidate in history to receive that endorsement. He appeared on the cover of NRA magazines four times. In 1983 he was offered, and accepted, an NRA Honorary Life Membership, the highest honor bestowed by the NRA." |

"Each time a tragedy involving a gun is publicized, we hear a barrage from one side of the political fence demanding more gun control, and an equally thunderous volley from the other side with something along the lines of 'guns don't kill people, people kill people'. We spend a lot of time arguing about how many bullets a gun should shoot, how long the barrel should be, and how fast it should fire."
"One of the things that seems to get overlooked is the fact that there are millions of firearms already in the possession of millions of Americans, and that most of those firearms are legal to today's standards. What can we do to prevent the accidents and even some of the crimes we hear about?"

"Gun control is not an issue in this year's national election, partly because even Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry has mouthed support, sort of, for the Second Amendment."
"An extension on the so-called assault-weapons ban was defeated in the Senate in March, to little public outcry. It went down in large part because the ban had not been shown to reduce crime, as advocates had predicted it would."
"Sure, every once in a while one hears of a small gun-control victory, or near-victory, in some state legislature, but while gun control was all the rage only a few years ago, now it's sort of on a par with Madonna: Every once in a while she pops up in the news, and you think, 'Gee, is she still out there?' "Pizza Hut shouldnt make deliveries, and profits, if it cannot ensure the safety of its delivery personnel, or at least allow deliverypersons to protect themselves. Why do corporate executives and government bureaucrats continue to refuse people their natural, constitutional right to protect themselves? Are insurance costs more important than the lives of citizens and employees? How much did the airlines save? "It was time to 'shoot the bastards' four decades ago but no one saw the handwriting on the wall. Now the wall is encircling us and everything we should like to see done to restore America. That will take a third revolution, because the second succeeded in taking our liberties and twisting our values, our mindsets and abolishing our cultural heritage. It was right out in plain sight, and no one saw. Now the internet writers are corresponding with each other while major media, a mind-control system straight from Stalin's old Pravda, keeps spewing the doctrine of the new order in politically correct language and with slanted stories that the majority of Americans believe." |
