"Before you suggest how to correct modern day law enforcement, I suggest you first review the reason modern local law enforcement is becoming the police state's handmaiden. -- It is simple: Federal influence. ... Until we can remove the federal influence in local law enforcement, it will just get worse. Hell, it may not even be reversible." --Police Officer, Retired

"[Justice] Cummings ruled in favor of Timothy Joe Emerson, a doctor in the midst of a messy divorce, who had been charged with violating a restraining order banning gun possession. Cummings ruled that the statute prohibiting him from having a gun was unconstitutional on Second Amendment grounds.
In doing so, Judge Cummings purposefully ignored more than 60 years of clear precedent on the meaning of the Second Amendment in federal courts." |

"They have "discovered" as if it were news, that one issue that divides the urban areas from "fly-over" country is guns. To most urbanites, except for the gangbangers, guns are anathema. In fly-over country they are part of a way of life, which is as it should be." by Al Benson Jr |

"[Y]our local post office has been (and is) watching you closely," informs Insight reporter John Berlau. Customers buying money orders, making wire transfers or purchasing cash cards may be excited to find that the postal clerk is rerunning episodes of "Dragnet" in his head while indexing any "suspicious" characteristics of the customer. -by Joel Miller |

'Handgun Control, Inc.' and the 'Center to Prevent Handgun Violence' have changed their names to the 'Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence' and the 'Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence', respectively.
~Yeah. Just because a septic truck is called a "honeywagon" doesn't change the fact that it's full of crap, and still stinks. Obviously, they are trying to further mask their true intention: creating a defenseless populace. |

Concerned for the safety of children playing nearby, he stood guard. With both arms outstretched like a crossing guard, Alberto kept the children away from the weapon until he was able to catch the attention of a police officer on the corner.
== Alberto's father taught him the Eddie Eagle lessons, and he prevented a tragedy and received a Citizens' Award for Outstanding Service as a result. But legislators and governors are fighting hard against gun safety education in our schools. |
