Richard Burgess, whose attempt at setting up an Internet gun sale operation from his home near the high school was met with stiff resistance from neighbors and police, has voluntarily moved the offending inventory out of town.

Bath Codes Enforcement Officer Scott Davis inspected Burgess' home at 81 Lincoln St., where he had stored the firearms, and verified the only guns left are those privately owned by Burgess.

~Was it REALLY voluntary? I wonder what HIS story is.

Horiuchi shot Mrs. Weaver through the head at 200 yards with a 30-06 sniper rifle. She had a baby in her arms. After Mrs. Weaver was killed, federal agents taunted the surviving family members." -by David Dieteman

"It's a painful and difficult decision for liberals and their 'African-American' political allies to face. It's certainly understandable why they prefer to go on hand-wringing over "racial profiling." -By William Tucker

"Once these people wake up, maybe we can get laws in place that reflect responsible gun ownership, such as barring anyone who's committed a violent crime from owning a gun or making sure only those who genuinely need to carry a concealed weapon are allowed to do so." -Donald Meyers

"Gun lockers are coming to a public building near you" -by Edward Lebow

"A reading of the Constitution in the tradition of John Taylor of Caroline provides a very useful reference point and instrument for deconstruction of the constitutive lies on which the US Third Republic rests. Of course the ruling elites are moving on toward a Fourth Republic and we must understand that, just as we might defend a nation-state against the Empire without taking up nation-statism as principle, the Constitution, even rightly understood, is only relatively good." -Joseph Stromberg

[Analysis] On May 13, NRA representative NICOLE PALYA completed her sellout of gun shows in North Carolina by allowing Sen. FOUNTAIN ODOM (D-Meck, GRNC *) to incorporate Sen. BRAD MILLER'S (D-Johnston, Wake, GRNC 0-star) full gun show bill, SB 1097 into their own bill to prevent cities from suing gun makers. The resulting "Jeckyl & Hyde" gun bill passed the NC Senate Finance Committee without a single objection being offered by the NRA. It will soon go to a floor vote in the Senate.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? [...] The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!" Alexander Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago (Chapter 1 "Arrest")
