The prosecutors office alleged that Brady harbored suspected armed robber Jason Prontnicki in her home for about an hour.

Prontnicki is her live-in boyfriend, 1010 WINS reported. He was also arrested.

Virginia resident Michael McNeill filed a petition with the Virginia Supreme Court requesting a Writ of Mandamus to compel Petersburg Circuit Court Clerk Shalva J. Braxton to follow Virginia law [on] concealed handgun permit application processing procedures. A Writ of Mandamus is a judicial order compelling an official carry out a ministerial duty,
. . .
On June 3d, McNeils and VCDLs attorney received a letter from Braxton stating that she is going to follow Virginia law on issuing CHPs. Apparently that Writ of Mandamus worked like Ex-lax, said John Pierce, co-founder of OpenCarry.org and an attorney in Virginia specializing in gun trusts.

A product of Wall Street, Mayor Bloomberg resembles a short-term trader, not a long-term investor, as he shakes up the national debate on gun control. Policywise, the mayor is on the side of the angels. Hes furious with the plague of gun violence and the National Rifle Associations stranglehold over an awful status quo. He has thus spent large sums to be a counterweight to the NRA, including backing candidates of both parties who support his views. Fine. But now hes targeting high-profile ones who dont via a gambit that might be tagged Shutting the Spigot. Far more dubious.

The faces of more than 120 million people are in searchable photo databases that state officials assembled to prevent drivers-license fraud but that increasingly are used by police to identify suspects, accomplices and even innocent bystanders in a wide range of criminal investigations.

The facial databases have grown rapidly in recent years and generally operate with few legal safeguards beyond the requirement that searches are conducted for law enforcement purposes.

So now I have two burn marks on me. Not the first time nor will it be the last but it did get me to thinking of wounds I have received and seen at gun ranges. I have suffered blood loss from slide and hammer bite and two nice scars from bullet fragments bouncing off of steel targets, something very familiar to those who regularly shoot in steel competitions. I have pinched my skin when slamming a new mag home and had a slide or two fall when my finger was in the gun. Ouchie. I had never shot with sandal before and now I know all about hot brass in-between your toes. :-)

I was lucky enough to be born on Fathers Day. My mom figured that having me on that day would get her out of buying my dad a gift. However, since Fathers Day falls on the third Sunday of June rather than a set date, my birthday and Fathers Day only sync once in a while. Regardless, it usually means either two gifts or one large one so I luck out in June. This year I got two good gifts. A new Sig P226 for my birthday and a Ruger Alaskan in .454 Casull. The Sig makes sense as I like to shoot and wanted to replace my plastic home defense gun with a metal one but the Alaskan?

This situation escalated and prompted the school's principal to call the police. Once again, Marcum refused, and due to the incident, is now facing a $500 fine and up to a year in jail, Daily Mail reports. We've recently seen saggy jeans banned from a New Jersey boardwalk and rappers outlash over the situation. We can only imagine the the NRA, notorious for causing a stir over any remotely rights-infringing incident, will make a strong case for Marcumand make a huge stink out of this situation.

Is Obama not aware that a Maryland sixth grader was suspended last week for saying gun on a school bus? That a kindergartner from a different school in the same state was interrogated for two hours and suspended for 10 weeks for bringing a toy gun to school? That a California elementary school instituted a buyback program for toy guns?

Stories of such overreactions have been rampant in the media ever since the Newtown shootings. Are we to understand that our president is clueless about their existence?

Gun-rights advocates have a near-perfect track record of hauling San Francisco into court over gun-control laws, and a new set of proposed rules on high-capacity magazines also is "highly likely" to get The City sued, a document shows.

A ban on the possession of magazines containing 10 or more bullets was introduced earlier this year by Supervisor Malia Cohen, who represents The City's southeastern neighborhoods.

But the proposed ban is a "significant litigation risk," the City Attorney's Office informed San Francisco elected officials in a June 5 memo.

Should concealed carry weapons be allowed inside libraries, courthouses or other public buildings? Those are the questions before city and county leaders this week, now that a new state law is ready to go into effect

Starting July 1st, anyone with a concealed carry permit can bring their weapon inside more public buildings in Kansas.

"With smaller venues like libraries where there is a minimal amount of security, yes absolutely a person should have the ability to carry there," said certified concealed-carry instructor Craig Godderz.

Wichita City Council members and Sedgwick County commissioners face a similar decision this week: Should they seek a six-month exemption from a state law that allows permit holders to carry handguns in public buildings?

A state law beginning July 1 allows concealed carry permit holders to take handguns into buildings including courthouses, police stations and libraries across the state. City and county governments can prohibit concealed carry in certain buildings as long as adequate security measures, as defined by the state law, are in place.

The Constitutions built-in a failsafe protection on the rights of the citizens is the Second Amendment. It is this small addition to the Constitution that served to keep the government in check for the past two-and-a-quarter centuries. But, both the fate of the Second Amendment and the Land of the Free hang in the balance.

Whether they are ignorant, misguided, or simply useful idiots, many of our fellow citizens are seemingly ok with the unconscionable government intrusion and with the further disarmament of the people.

Pryor is trying to find middle ground on issues such as gun control, where he contends his vote represents a constituency that values hunting and gun rights. He's also argued that a competing measure he supported that was endorsed by the National Rifle Association would have done more to address gun violence.

The NRA has also stepped in to help Pryor, with a radio ad airing in the state thanking the lawmaker for his vote.

Without an opponent, Pryor is casting the fight over gun control as one with Bloomberg.

If ever there was an argument that insults intelligence it is the suggestion that, since we have the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Army Reserve, National Guard, Coast Guard, CIA, FUI and state, county and city police, plus the cushion of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, we dont need the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.

Opposition to New Yorks extreme gun control law the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act continues and elected officials are stepping forward to promote full repeal of the bill that was hastily, strong-armed into law.

The Republican majority made this happen, said Rep. David J. DiPietro (R.-East Aurora), a freshmen state assemblyman representing parts of Erie and Wyoming County in western New York.

Dean G. Skelos (R.-Rockville Centre) who is the majority leader of the New York State Senate is to blame, he said. He voted for the bill. He allowed the bill to come to the floor.

In a city where crime has become an expectation, and residents often take their second amendment rights very seriously, officials do not take gunshotseven fake oneslightly. Monday, June 17, fake shots will ring out on a movie set in the Bywater, and the Mayors Office of Cultural Economy issued a warning to urge neighbors to keep their handguns in their holsters.
