LONDON -- "A NEW elite squad of cops has been established to put 'behind bars' major drug dealers bringing terror to Lambeth's streets."
The "top cop" speaking says "the new drug squad will tackle large scale drug dealers who routinely carry and use guns."
"...law abiding residents justifiably see major drug dealers as a real danger because of their reckless use of guns..."

"A local [Michigan] gun shop owner who faces felony charges following a state 'sting' says he did not do what the the attorney general says he did."
The gun buyer, posing as a felon's girlfriend, PASSED the background check, and checked the box that said she is the actual buyer of the firearm.
MI Attorney General Jennifer Granholm is alleging that "it was clear" that the woman was purchasing the gun for her boyfriend, which would constitute a "straw purchase".
KABA NOTE: Unless they have an audio tape of the woman explicitly stating that she is buying the gun for her felon boyfriend, the anti-gunners don't have a case. |

"The California Supreme Court has ruled that judges cannot declare firearms illegal under the state's assault-weapons ban law. The dissenting chief justice said the decision created a "loophole" in the 1989 act."
It was a 4-2 vote Thursday.
"The immediate fallout of Thursday's decision is that an untold number of copycat weapons to the Russian-made AK series are now legal in California."
"Thousands of people in California have been convicted wrongly..." |

'Demoncratic' coward Charles Schumer said he would "introduce legislation to reverse a Justice Department proposal to purge FBI records on gun sales within one business day instead of the current 180 days."
"A House of Representatives version of the bill will be introduced at the same time by Democratic Rep. Carolyn McCarthy of New York."
Schumer also said he plans to hold oversight hearings "to determine why the Department of Justice decided to make this unwise decision now." |

From Leadshot.com - "Leave aside the pathetic "small arms destruction day" stunt, and consider that without the UN forum for debate, the risk of unilateral governmental despotism sits precariously high. You may not like its agenda, but at least the UN provides an arena for rhetorical argument The NRA will doubtless do an excellent job of representing its members interests and cogently arguing the case for the preservation of Americas Second Amendment." |

"Police have charged a Swampscott police lieutenant with improperly storing firearms after finding as many as 500 unsecured guns in his basement. ... Police found the guns when responding in April to a burglar alarm at Lt. Richard Wilson's home. Police later learned that 10 guns were stolen and arrested 8 teenagers. Two guns are still missing."
~Something tells me we have one more police officer who is feeling the pinch of "laws" today.
KABA NOTE: What kind of bogus "firearms charges" are these? The *criminals* are the *thieves*. |

An Idaho judge on Thursday reduced the child neglect charge against a woman whose six children held off sheriff's officers for five days to a misdemeanor and freed her.
The unconditional release allows JoAnn McGuckin the right to see her children without supervision, but she still faces a custody battle with the state which has placed them in a foster home. A custody hearing was set for Friday. |

Speculation about Republican and Democratic hopefuls for governor. As far as I can tell so far, Democrat Glenn Poshard will actually be Illinois' best hope for concealed carry. Neither Ryan is likely to support it, and conservative Pat O'Malley is not likely to defeat whichever Ryan that runs. Also, state's attorney Dick Devine may try to run. This is the guy who threatened to prosecute people legally carrying guns under the Safe Neighborhoods Act. Watch out for him. |

[Masked men with pistols were standing in their bedroom. "Do you have any guns?" the men asked. "If you lie to us we're going to kill you." ... one of the armed robbers stood watch over the man and girl, while other assailants took the woman into another room and raped her at gunpoint.]
KABA NOTE: Ask yourself, "Would I want to be forced to wait helplessly while these criminals raped my family member in another room?"
The liberals (i.e. leftists) of America would love to see it happen to you. DON'T GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT TO LIFE: FIGHT "GUN-CONTROL". |

Somehow, unbeknownst to Gun Ban Utopianists, a sawed-off shotgun was used to settle a street dispute in the UK. Authorities pass if off as "a local fall out."
American gun owners across the water call it "a portent of things to come, in the place where only police and criminals have guns."
