"I respect my friends in the gun culture, but gun-control politicians sure dont. These politicians put the police on a pedestal when it suits them."
"These politicians write gun laws that often exempt the police or demand that civilians match the standards set for police."
"I dont know what is so special about law enforcement officers that civilian gun owners should imitate them. A badge doesnt suddenly make people more responsible or better shots. I think the gun grabbing politicians have it backwards. Civilians with a concealed carry license are more responsible and law abiding than cops based on the data! These civilians obey laws in general, and firearms laws in particular, better than the police." ... |

"USA Today made an astounding discovery: 'New Jersey gun laws dont curb violence in Camden.' Although the Brady Campaign considers NJ to be the state with the second-strongest gun laws in the US, Camdens murder rate was about 12 times the overall U.S. rate in 2011. There were 75 homicides in the city last year. Anderson Baker, a convicted felon and former gang member stated, 'Gun laws to people in Camden are like saying youll get a ticket if you jaywalkit means nothing. Most politicians dont get that.' So whats NJs response? Pass more gun laws, of course. It all makes perfect sense. Or not. And from Connecticut . . ." ... |

Since I never could get the knack of hammering quietly, my wife and kids hated to see me break out my reloading stuff.
