In one breath were told that anti-gun spokes-children from Florida should be admired for their sincerity. Then, were told that young men and women under 21 years of age are too immature to make serious decisions and understand the consequences of their actions. That is why they cant possess firearms.
Which is it? Are they adults, or do some young adults want it one way and some want it the other way?
Consider what people 18 to 21 accomplish. |

A Broward Sheriffs bailiff accused of threatening behavior toward courthouse colleagues was temporarily relieved of duty and his 67 firearms were taken by law enforcement, the agency said Tuesday. In court documents, Franklin Joseph Pinter was described as making threats toward other bailiffs. In May, one bailiff alleged that while delivering documents to Pinters courtroom, Pinter told him the defendants werent there and that he should get the f--- out of here and All you rats should be exterminated. |

When police find a gun on TV they run the serial number through a computer and it tells them who owns it in seconds. The reality is different, slower and more confusing than that. Thats because decades-old laws limit the technology federal agents can use to trace guns. The privacy rights of the gun owner have trumped my right not to get shot in the head, said David Chipman, senior policy advisor for the gun control group Giffords. |

Teachers and school administrators would be able to ask a judge to remove guns from the homes of troubled students under a first-of-its-kind proposal announced Tuesday by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The Democratic governor acknowledged his proposal will run into political opposition from Republicans, including those that control the state Senate. But he said its a commonsense way to prevent school shootings and get help to students at risk of harming themselves or others. He said it was a far more effective way of protecting students than arming teachers.

The Burnsville City Council unanimously approved a license for a new gun store, but this one is part of a growing trend of online gun sales. Guns.com owner Tom Hudson told city council members his company is an e-commerce store and it will buy and sell firearms online, but will fully comply with background checks. "We intend to follow the ordinance and we will be compliant and as cooperative as we can be," Hudson said. "We have talked with our neighbors and we intend to be good neighbors, too."
