FULL TEXT BELOW:
A former student at Aloha High School was arrested Wednesday on charges he brought a loaded handgun to the school, deputies said.
The 17-year-old, who was not authorized to be on school grounds, told deputies that he was carrying the gun because he had been shot at last week. Authorities said that the shooting had not been reported to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The boy's gun was fully loaded and had a round in the chamber, deputies said.
Last year, the teen was arrested on charges he assaulted the school's vice principal. He is on probation for that crime, according to deputies.
On Wednesday, he was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and criminal trespassing.
Deputies are still investigating. |

STUDENTS from Croydon College are pledging not to carry knives or other weapons as part of an initiative in memory of schoolboy Damilola Taylor.
The 10-year-old bled to death in a Peckham street in November 2000 after being stabbed in the leg.
A pledge wall has been designed by graphic design students which carries the message: "In memory of Damilola Taylor, I pledge never to carry a weapon" and invites students to sign their names.
One of the first to sign up was 18-year-old Desmond Udi who said: "Carrying a knife is not self-defence but self-destruction." |
