In the wake of the tragic shooting in Virginia Beach, Va., that claimed the lives of 12 people, Gov. Ralph Northam has called for a special legislative session to address gun-related violence. Using the shooting as a call to action, he then proposed a variety of restrictions on lawful gun owners not one of which would have prevented or even mitigated the very shooting used to justify them.

In the United States the Obama administration used the IRS as a tool to eliminate conservative opposition to his second term in office. Also in the United States the Obama administration created the Fast and Furious scheme, which killed many innocent people, and at least one federal agent, in order to further Obamas desire to confiscate American citizens self defense weapons..

Defending yourself from someone who broke into your house is justified, a judge in Canada decided, but stabbing him 13 times, killing him, is not. The Manitoba judge sentenced Dakota Pratt, 28, to five years in prison Thursday; Pratt had been convicted of manslaughter by a jury in April, CBC News reports. Pratt woke up in the early-morning hours with the feeling he was being stabbed, and found Vincent Bunn, who was holding a knife, in his room. Pratt chased and struggled with Bunn throughout the house and out onto the deck. Pratt "knew he was in a struggle for his own life," the judge wrote. There, Bunn was stabbed; the last stab, to Bunn's heart, was fatal, court records show.

Firearm-mounted lights can be incredibly useful tools in low-light self-defense scenarios, particularly in the home. A mounted light frees up a hand, enabling home defenders to navigate obstacles, open doors and handle family members without losing their situational awareness. A light mounted on a firearm also aids in target identification, a critical aspect of home-defense. However, the one-size-fits-all nature of many of today's weaponlights can make activation difficult for some. PHLster developed its own line of aftermarket ARC weaponlight switches to address this issue.

Here we go again.

During an interview with the British morning talk show Good Morning Britain, President Donald Trump told the hosts that he was going to think about banning sound suppressors for guns, known commonly (though incorrectly) as silencers.

Piers Morgan, an avowed advocate of civilian disarmament, began by complimenting the president for banning bump stocks, and then he transitioned to discussing the Virginia Beach tragedy, and that then led to the following exchange between Trump and Morgan.

While Democrat Gov. Ralph Northam and fellow anti-gunners in Virginia are getting lots of mileage out of the tragic mass shooting in Virginia Beach, the gun control crowd is mute in the wake of a self-defense shooting in Cincinnati early Thursday in which an armed mother of five used her legally-owned handgun to shoot an ex-boyfriend who was attempting to break into her home.

According to WLWT and WTAE, a prosecutors spokesperson said the woman would not face any charges.

The Supreme Court should agree to hear the appeal of Remington against the Connecticut Supreme Court in their PLCAA decision.

The Connecticut Supreme Court, in a narrow 4-3 decision, ruled a civil case against Remington could go forward in spite of protections by the Protection of Legal Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) .

On May 3rd, 2019, the Connecticut Supreme Court granted a stay to the defendants while they appealed the case to the Supreme Court.

Congress explicitly forbid such lawsuits with the Protection of Legal Commerce in Arms Act .

The Second Amendment doesnt prevent the government from taking guns away from nonviolent felons, the Seventh Circuit said June 6.

Nonviolent felons are not the type of law-abiding, responsible citizens protected by the amendment under District of Columbia v. Heller, the opinion by Judge Frank H. Easterbrook said.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks. Thomas Jefferson, Encyclopedia of T. Jefferson, 318, Foley, Ed., reissued 1967.
