A bill recognizing Ohioans' right to self-defense is on hold (again), due to the actions of Gov. Bob Taft, a few bureaucrats in the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and a few enablers in the Senate.

The most disgraceful part of the "Car-jacker Protection" provision is that it is something that no anti-self-defense extremist demanded. Nor was the "Car-jacker Protection" provision inserted to win any Senator's crucial vote.

Instead, it was inserted only at the demand of Gov. Bob Taft.

The power of any philosophy is how well all its principles work holistically. In this regard, questions arise as to the legitimacy of the liberal philosophy.

How about gun control; handguns should be restricted since youre more likely to hurt yourself than actually protect yourself, right? Then how about making blacks the first people to be protected under affirmative action gun control, denying them the right to carry guns?
