Authorities say four masked people broke into a gun shop in western Michigan and stole about two dozen handguns.

The break-in happened shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday at Barracks 616 in Kent County's Cascade Township. Surveillance video showed the guns being taken.

An alarm alerted sheriff's deputies to the break-in. The suspects fled in a white SUV that also was recorded on video . Anyone with information on the break-in is asked to contact investigators.

The same gun shop was targeted in a 2017 break-in where 20 weapons were stolen.

CAPE TOWN - When most Americans think of Cape Town, South Africa, they probably think of it as a mecca for tourists the beaches, Table Mountain, and the winelands.

But theres a side to the city that is becoming more of a frightening reality murder, much of it gang-related.

Going to a shop is life-threatening, traveling in a taxi is life-threatening, Elsies River Community Policing Forum Chair Imraahn Mukaddam told Fox News. We are living in a war zone. A lot of violence here is orchestrated by a third force the street gangs, who want to make the Western Cape almost ungovernable.

Submitter's note: This is a country where guns are heavily restricted.

When he called the Republican-controlled Virginia Legislature to the state Capitol for a special session this week, Virginias Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam wasnt really attempting to make changes to the states gun laws that would have stopped the murderer who killed a dozen people in Virginia Beach in May.

In fact, despite his claims to the contrary, Northam was simply playing gun control politics. He was crassly using the deaths of victims to push the current national agenda of those who want to blame guns and law-abiding gun owners for the actions of criminals and the mentally ill.

Teachers across the country are being offered a chance to receive free self defense training on National Train A Teacher Day during the weekend of July 20th.

Sheepdog Firearms is conducting several courses on July 20 and 21.

"The instructors that are associated with national train a teacher day, were absolutely against a government sponsored armed teacher program. Thats up to the school systems, administrators, school boards, and teachers to discuss. But hopefully when they leave these classes, they are better informed, said Glass.

Gun Control Puts Women at Risk

Politicians said that gun-control would make us safer. That sounds good, but it isnt what we see. One reasons is gun-control disarms innocent women. Taking the tools of self-defense away from women leaves them at a physical disadvantage. That is only one of the ways that gun-control leaves women at greater risk. Why did the politicians and the news media ignore these issues while they were shouting for more gun-control?

Clark County prosecutor Jeremy Mull said he expects Powell will claim self-defense.

"I can say that there is some evidence of self defense in this case," Mull said.

Mull said he reviewed witness statements, along with video surveillance footage and a social media post made by Powell before the shooting, in determining what the charges should be. That media post allegedly showed Powell holding a gun and referenced causing harm to a coworker.

The first round of Democratic Presidential Debates is over, and the first casualty has been listed. Gun control zealot, Rep. Eric Nukeem if they wont turn them in Swalwell, dropped out shortly after the first debate.

The second round is on the way, as the large and growing field of candidates continues to jockey for position. During the first debates, the candidates made it pretty clear that even the most moderate of their number, are seeking support from the far-left, socialist/communist, anti-rights element of the Democratic base.

Presidio County commissioners yesterday passed a resolution establishing Presidio County as a Second Amendment sanctuary.

Drafted and presented by private citizens to a packed Presidio County courtroom on July 10, it was part of a nation-wide, grassroots movement where cities, counties, and even states were adopting similar resolutions. The states of Alaska, Idaho, Kansas, and Wyoming have all adopted some form of Second Amendment sanctuary laws, as have more than 200 counties and cities in 14 additional states, but no entity in Texas had yet attempted to do so.

Whenever the FBI updates its monthly report on NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) firearm background checks it notes that the numbers do not represent the number of firearms sold. Thats because the background checks are performed on people attempting to purchase a firearm from a licensed firearms dealer, and do not reflect the number of guns an individual might be buying at that moment in time, not does it account for private firearms sales.

If Andrew Cuomo is winning his fight to erase pro-Second Amendment activism, the tool that will ensure his success is going to be the financial blacklist. This is something a lot of people are missing with regards to his abusive actions towards the National Rifle Association. He made it clear that Second Amendment advocacy had no place in New York.

As Greene Countys Commonwealths Attorney, it is my job to enforce the law and hold wrongdoers accountable in court when they break the law. Just as important, however, is my job to protect the Constitution and every citizens Constitutional rights.

I write today because my duty to the Constitution, and to protect the Constitutional rights of every Greene County citizen, compels it. By the time you read this letter, Virginias General Assembly will already be meeting in Richmond to consider a radical agenda, proposed by Gov. Ralph Northam, that will endanger your Second Amendment rights.

But there are certain situations where the courts wont consider a case moot. After all, a government could keep violating peoples civil rights and avoid having its laws overturned by simply repealing the law just to enact it again later.

This is precisely the type of situation New York City has manufactured: Its backing off now, presumably planning to wait until the Supreme Courts makeup is more favorable. Almost as soon as the Supreme Court agreed to hear the case, the city reversed course on a law it has spent decades defending tooth and nail and requested that the Court delay the case to allow the city time to remove the rule. Originally, the city planned to have the police make a rule change not even overturning the law.

Support side shooting, or using the non-dominant hand, is a valuable ability for any shooter. It may sound intimidating at first, but it can be learned like any other skill. Fundamentals of shooting remain the same and it only requires a few adjustments. We will be introducing support side and single hand shooting (based on the comfort and skill level of our participants) at the next meeting of Sterling TWAW (The Well Armed Woman) on July 20, 2019 from 9-11 a.m. at the Logan County Shooting Sports Complex, 12515 Highway 61/2nd Amendment Way off Highway 61 Sterling.

The DeKalb County homeowner who police said was forced to shoot his machete-wielding neighbor declined to comment on camera as he cleaned up the mess of broken glass near front door Thursday afternoon. DeKalb County does not plan to file charges against the homeowner. Still, his neighbors on Northlake Trail told FOX 5 News they feel awful for him.

"He's the really nice guy that you see out walking his dog--speaks to everyone, just a friendly guy. Everyone is concerned for him and his for his family as far as the emotional toll this must be taking on them," said neighbor Brad Castlen.

Nearly 90 guns were stolen from unlocked vehicles across the city in a 40-day period beginning June 1, Louisville Metro Police said in a video released Thursday asking people to lock up their guns amid a surge in violent crime.

"I am a believer in Second Amendment rights," Maj. Billy Hibbs, commander of the Ninth Mobile Division, said in the video. "We need to be practicing some Second Amendment common sense. Please, do not leave your guns in your cars. Secure them in your homes."

Ed.: No. End the "gun-free" zones that force us to leave our guns in our cars.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
By calling attention to a well-regulated militia for the security of the Nation, and the right of each citizen to keep and bear arms, our Founding Fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny, which gave rise to the second amendment, will ever be a major danger to our Nation, the amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic military-civilian relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of the country. For that reason I believe the second amendment will always be important. --JOHN F. KENNEDY
