"A peace officer chastising a security guard for harassing citizens on Independence Day stands in stark contrast to those in law enforcement who instead put their personal interests over their Constitutional obligations, and abuse their positions of power. "Sundays Seattle Times may have just unintentionally blown a mammoth hole in one of the gun prohibition lobbys most strident arguments for so-called 'universal background checks' that online gun sales are done without such checks."
"In a new report ... the newspaper said this: 'There were 22 licensed dealers listed in the city when the officials checked. Some are actual stores, including three Big 5 Sporting Goods locations. But more are either pawnshops or individuals mostly serving as middlemen for Internet firearms sales.'"

"As a rural Alabama civilian Ive never experienced any type of major crime. Never has my home been burglarized, never have I experienced an armed robbery, and never have I ever felt like my life, or my familys lives been in danger. But as times change so does my opinion of society. I began thinking, 'What if my life was in danger, all because someone wanted to take something that was mine?' So about a year ago I made the decision to visit my local county sheriffs office and apply for an Alabama pistol permit. The process was quick and hassle free and I became a permit holder in under twenty minutes . . ." ... |

There have been so many tweaks and revisions over the years that todays 1911 handgun might be the most well-polished and refined piece of ballistic equipment in existence.
