A gun safety group hoping to change state law to require background checks on virtually all guns sales has received state approval to start collecting petition signatures. The bipartisan Ohio Ballot Board unanimously voted Monday that the proposal to close loopholes in background checks on gun sales doesn't contain more than a single subject. That certification was necessary before Ohioans For Gun Safety could begin gathering the required 132,887 signatures from registered voters in at least half of Ohio's 88 counties.

Liberal journalists want to abolish the 2nd Amendment on all platforms, not just in reality. Video games correspondent Keith Stuart of The Guardian wrote an unintentionally hilarious opinion piece for Medium about how the game industry needs less gunplay. He wrote that in a time of enormous uncertainty, widespread gun violence, and climate crisis, maybe its time for a new era of mainstream games that provide an escape from conflict, rather than reveling in it.

The latest in its unceasing appeals for $5 donations (or more) from the billionaire-backed, Seattle-based Alliance for Gun Responsibility reveals that the gun prohibition lobbying group has evidently realized that all politics is local, or perhaps someone read the Vancouver Columbian story about two pro-rights candidates running for spots on the Battle Ground City Council.

Perhaps you are building a basic (or even an advanced) accessorized AR-15 for general use, or more precision tasks. You have acquired the best AR specimen for your uses from a crowded field of models and variations to choose. That alone is not a particularly simple task. Your new field rifle, everyday vehicle carry (EDVC) rifle, hunting AR, self-defense, or property protection rifle is ready for you to finish off the final detail work. It likely has a section of picatinny rail on top, an M-Lok or KeyMod forend for adding essential accessories.

In late July 2017, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit issued an opinion that effectively made D.C. issue concealed-carry permits on a shall-issue basis. Thanks to that ruling, and the Districts reluctance to take the case to the Supreme Court, thousands of law-abiding Americans are now able to exercise their right to bear arms in our nations capital.

Last week, a friend of mine offered that he thought that I was so ideologically bound to classical liberalism (i.e., conservativism) that I would never vote for a Democrat. Because he meant it as an insult as in "you are so invested in your ideology that you can't even hear another side" it bothered me, and that caused me to think about why I oppose progressive Democrats.

One of my first automatic weapons was an M16. Dont hate me for it, but back in 1987 I bought the stripped transferable full-auto receiver for $600. The new machinegun ban had not yet seen its first birthday so the prices for transferable MGs had not yet gone insane. The same gun costs 20-grand today.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood. JAMES MADISON
