It was only a matter of time. The timeless concept of the soldier-for-hire free radical approach in providing unaffiliated military support, to rulers and governments sourcing increased military prowess, is alive and well on the digital realm. And this is not your grandparents classic George Soros approach to financing policy change, or an arm of Chinas Peoples Liberation Army utilizing legitimate front companies to fund defense research and maintain a semblance of morale. |

I remember watching Disney as a child. As an adult I find reality more interesting and entertaining than fantasy. Not everyone feels that way. Today, lots of us ask for 144 character solutions. That is too bad. These faux answers might sooth our conscience, but they seldom work out well. For example, this week I read some crime reports where we disarmed the victims rather than the bad guys.

Tactical optics like the Steiner PX4i 1-4x24 riflescoe have come a long way in a relatively short time period. A decade ago, for example, the choices for a tactical optic tended to be a red-dot opticusually without magnificationor a 5-25X behemoth that cost more than a few house payments. But, many of todays low- to mid-range tactical scopes not only provide actual magnification; they come with superior lens coatings, illuminated reticles and main tubes built to take some abuse. |

Sitting in a classroom above a gun range, a woman hesitantly says she isn't sure she could ever shoot and kill someone, even to protect herself. Couldn't she just aim for their leg and try to maim them? Her instructor says self-defense is not about killing someone, but is instead about eliminating a threat. If the gun gets taken away by a bad guy, the instructor says, "I promise you they're not going to be having any sympathy or going through the thought process you are." |

The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence announced the legal-fees agreement more than five months after a federal appeals court sided with doctors and medical groups in striking down key parts of the 2011 law which became known as the docs vs. glocks law. The state did not appeal the Feb. 16 decision by the full 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. |
