Attorneys for a former Bakersfield elementary school principal accused of killing five members of his family are suggesting police may have shot the five.
Recently filed court documents by Vincent Brothers' lawyers say law enforcement officers may have killed Brothers' wife, their three kids and his mother-in-law in 2003. They say the wife believed police were after her because she was a civil rights activist who accused police of misconduct in several high-profile cases.
Both sides in the Brothers case are scheduled to be in court Monday to discuss the defense's request for law enforcement documents. -------
