For some, the headlines about freedom and our future may sound like someone elses business. Its exactly what the NRA Foundation has been supporting for the last 30 years. In spite of the pandemic, the NRA Foundation has continued to champion for the programs we hold most dear. While its Friends of NRA program has been put on hold during these uniquely trying times, like many other activities across this great nation, we have been working diligently to come back stronger than ever. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the NRA Foundations Friends of NRA program are used to support charitable Second Amendment-related programs. |

Known several names including .45-70 Government, .45 Government, and .45-70-45 the .45-70 was developed by the U.S. government and is one of their greatest cartridges. Even today, the cartridge retains the respect of hunters and shooting enthusiasts, and is one of the very few cartridges that has continued to thrive after being converted from using black powder to smokeless powder. The .45-70 was developed at the historic Springfield Armory in Massachusetts as a short-term replacement for the .50-70, which had been adopted just over a decade before.

That followed another fatal shooting the night before, also in the Central District, as reported by KIRO Eyewitness News, the local CBS affiliate. |

A growing group of Wyoming lawmakers including the vice president of the Senate are coming after one of the states most aggressive gun rights groups after it lodged efforts to discredit incumbent Republican lawmakers in a number of vulnerable districts ahead of next months Republican primary. The group, Wyoming Gun Owners, has been a consistent presence in Wyomings politics, presenting itself to residents as an uncompromising and unapologetically aggressive proponent for the Second Amendment in Cheyenne.

The Second Amendment is a centerpiece of American life. Every political party in the United States has a position on the constitutionally-protected right to bear arms. The firearm, like the free exercise of religion or the ability of Congress to levy taxes, is specifically mentioned in the Constitution. Unlike religious liberty or taxes, however, the Second Amendment doesnt have a vigorous champion in Congress. The dominant political parties support an increasingly narrow reading of the Second Amendment, either demanding more government restrictions or meekly coming to its defense in only the least controversial scenarios. |

Many times, we read about these DGU or defensive gun use stories, and there arent many details. But we can still pull takeaways from stories like these. Or just prove points. Such as the old saying, Dont bring a knife to a gunfight. This past Wednesday, around 7:45 PM, in the Uptown area of New Orleans, LA, some men met to conduct a transaction of purchase. Reports only state that there was more than one man on the robberys side and one victim. One of the robbers pulled a knife on the victim. But as stated, he apparently brought a knife to a gunfight because the victim pulled a gun.

Under New York law, it is a crime to possess a firearm, held the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in U.S. v. Sanchez-Villar (2004). This ruling was based on the states ban on the possession of an unlicensed handgun. This Court also said that police officers who see a gun are justified in seizing it because of its immediately apparent incriminating character. This prohibition did not offend the Second Amendment, said this ruling, because the right to possess a gun is clearly not a fundamental right. |

Anti-Second Amendment extremists have a lot of disregard for those Americans who exercise their Second Amendment rights. If they arent trying to ban guns, they are trying to otherwise make life difficult for any law-abiding American who either owns a gun or wants to do so. The difficulty doesnt just come with restrictions on firearms. It can also include targeting accessories, including heavily regulated ones like suppressors. |

80% silencer parts are legal in the United States. In a society built on individual liberty, with checks and balances on government power, it is difficult to effectively ban a simple item. 80% silencers are collections of partly machined parts, sold for other purposes, which can be made into a silencer with a bit of effort by a hobbyist. They are the analog of 80% receivers for hobbyists to make their own guns. |

In a world full of striker-fired pistols, sometimes we need to throw a little love to double-action/single-action (DA/SA) handguns. The oft-forgotten semi-auto category bridges the gap between the venerable 1911 and the more modern striker-fired systems. As much as we talk about striker-fired pistols, for now we mustwait for itstop! Hammer time!

Of all todays popular firearms, most have been copied, to some degree, and fitted for using charged air, or gas, to fire 4.5 mm projectiles whether in BB or pellet form. Most interestingly, these gas-operated reproductions can be fired indoors and within a relatively small space. Of course, protective gear and a proper backstop is necessary.

Congress is hiding a red flag law in the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for the Fiscal Year 2021 (H.R. 6395). The NDAA authorizes the military to red flag anyone subject to the Uniform Code of Military Conduct. According to the NDAA, a friend or relative could report the service member as abusive. An ex parte court will hear the claims of the friend or relative and decided whether to take firearms away from the accused. The gun owner doesnt have a chance to defend themselves or even know that someone is accusing them of abuse.

A former Pennsylvania police officer has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison following accusations that he sexually abused women while on duty, according to reports.
Mark Icker, of Luzerne and Lackawanna counties, was sentenced Friday after he pleaded guilty to two counts of deprivation of rights.
The plea covered charges against him at the federal and local level, alleging that he solicited sexual favors from women in order to decrease penalties, the Times Leader reported.
U.S. District Judge Malachy E. Mannion described Ickers conduct as vicious, rejecting a plea deal that had Icker serving only 12 years in prison. |

Cory Gardner, R-Colo., in March, it passed the Republican-controlled Senate 73-25 last month then was greenlighted 310107 this week by the Democrat-controlled U.S. House, sending it to President Donald Trump for signature. |

The IC DI is a direct impingement model. This is an important distinction because LWRCI is also known for its quality piston model AR-15s. The DI is an AR-15 chambered in 5.56 NATO that weighs 6.6-pounds. The fluted barrel contributes greatly to this dainty weight. The 16.1-inch cold hammer-forged barrel has a twist of 1:7 and is capped with an A2 birdcage flash hider. The rail is fully free-floated and features M-LOK, 3 QD mounts, and a Picatinny rail on top.
